Part of SteelSwaps swap splitting engine uses batcher fees to calculate effective price, and this is used to find you the best swap. So, the "batcher fee" for Axo might seem high, but don't worry, we are certain if it shows up it is your best option.

But what about that 8 Ada deposit? Axo recommended we use 5-8 Ada as a deposit. This deposit covers costs of transactions to complete the trade beyond what we estimated. In our experience, the 8 ada has always been returned but during high volume, part of it might get consumed.

Fees for Axo from from two different sources: the transaction fees and the protocol fee. The protocol fee is the larger of 1.2 Ada or 0.1% of the size of the transaction. Both transaction fees and protocol fees are added to the batcher fee for Axo.

Axo doesn't have a batcher, but it does have the OME, the engine that runs the logic of Axo strategies. It executes a series of trades to fill orders, and each trade has transaction costs paid by the market taker (the person placing the order).

Why did we decide to put these fees in the batcher fees? Since batcher fees are partially designed to pay for transaction costs, we felt this was the proper place for them. Ultimately it doesn't matter where the fees go, the swap engine accounts for them.

We call the combination of this fee estimate and protocol fees the "batcher fee" because batchers effectively incur the transaction costs.
