NEW: ASU reported 2,033 known positive COVID-19 cases in its update Tuesday. This is a 306% increase from the 501 cases reported on Jan. 3. Information included in past reports, such as random testing data and cumulative positive cases, was not included in the report.

On the first day of the spring semester, ASU has not released its weekly update on COVID-19 cases among students, staff and faculty. Updates are usually published online Mondays between 5-7 p.m. Last week, ASU reported 501 cases, more than double the previous week’s report.

NEW: TikTok will no longer be allowed to be used on ASU devices or on the ASU network, a University spokesperson has confirmed.
It's unclear when TikTok will begin to be restricted as ASU works to comply with President Biden's recent order.

In his testimony Wednesday, Kyle Rittenhouse said he was a college student at ASU studying nursing. Rittenhouse is enrolled in classes at ASU as an online, non-degree-seeking student, but he is not enrolled in the nursing college, spokesperson Jay Thorne said in an email. (1/3)
