32 of our Year 12 geographers returned yesterday from four days in Snowdonia. It was great to be able to take them back out into the outdoor classroom to experience the glacial landscapes of Snowdonia (made even more authentic by some snow on the final evening!)

Food students in Years 11-13 enjoyed a visit from Daniel Clifford, owner of Midsummer House in Cambridge, the only 2 Michelin starred restaurant in East Anglia. He talked to the groups about his journey in the catering industry and shared the science of the perfect poached egg!

Mr Farr’s 5km a day for a year!
This week we have been raising awareness of men’s physical and mental health. Mr Farr is currently raising money towards the men’s mental health charity, CALM , by running 5km every single day for a year!

Over the last ten days Lucy O’Brien in Year 10 has been representing her country in a Northern Europe football tournament in Sweden - the England team got through to the final but lost to Germany and are therefore the runners up. Well done Lucy!

Some fantastic work from Y7 geography students about collecting data to establish whether the St Ivo site has a ‘microclimate’. They used various equipment to collect data, recorded their findings then worked out a suitable way to present their data. Great work year 7!
Congratulations to our students who have received their A Level results today. The vast majority of students are going on to university study. We hope that all our students achieved grades to fulfil their aspirations despite the peculiar circumstances we find ourselves in.
