Kenya Space Agency local Space partner Sayarilabs today made history by launching the first ever space hardware produced locally. The hardware, SPP board is a communication board to be used on Janus -1 satellite by Antaris. This satellite was launched aboard the ISRO SSLV-D2 V.
On Wednesday 8 May 2024, a joint team from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and KSA achieved a significant milestone in field tests of the Nakuja 3.5 rocket.

KSA today, 3 April 2023 convened a breakfast meeting with editors of various media houses to update them on the activities of the Agency and share information on the impending launch of Kenya’s earth observation satellite, Taifa-1 Sat, scheduled for launch in April 2023.
Today, the CS Defence Hon. Eugene Wamalwa visited Luigi Broglio Space Centre at Ngomeni - Malindi on familiarization tour accompanied by the Ag DG Col Hillary Kipkosgey and other Senior Officers from the Ministry.
The launch of the Taifa-1 satellite had to be moved to April 12th due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Kibo Robot Programming Challenge
UNOOSA is inviting students from across the world (including Kenya) to apply for an opportunity to participate in the “Kibo Robot Programming Challenge”.

1/2 On Tuesday 19 July 2022, the Vice Chief of Defence Forces, Lt Gen Francis Ogolla, visited the Kenya Space Agency Headquarters to familiarize himself with the activities of the agency. He was received by the Ag. Director General Col. Hillary Kipkosgey and Senior Management.

A KSA project evaluation team visited 5 public universities (University of Nairobi, JKUAT, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Egerton University and Taita Taveta University) to assess progress of project implementation for development of Small-Scale Crop Mapping Application.
