SADX Multiplayer mod is really fun and support 4 players with split screen, ton of features, including battle and co-op, if you wanna see a preview, you can watch the video in the reply.
Remember when they randomly dropped this and then about a year later the SA1 remake rumors started to popping off, followed by Roger leaving, all of that to get a huge slap in the face with a reality check.
I saw a few people yelling that if we want momentum / adventure physics, we should "just play the adventure games". Okay, but have you considered that maybe some fans would like to have that in ... I don't know, a modern game, perhaps?
Better Miles V3 is out, you can now fly the tornado, transform it and fire the power laser everywhere.
Also most of Tails movements have been reworked and improved, have fun.
Alright, time for a preview of Super Tails mod. While being in super form, Tails is invincible, can fly faster, has a better air acceleration and most important part: he has his funny army of death. Oh and yeah, as you can see, he is perfectly balanced. 🙂
I guess I can now reveal it; I'm working on a SA2 characters pack for SADX with a new method that allows the "Basic Model" format to support weights. This means full shaders / Vertex Color support, better animations and easier way to make characters skins.
Today marks a huge change in how character mods for SADX can be made, with the release of the Weighted Characters mod, models can have smooth weighting like SA2 and more modern games, instead of the stiff and complicated weld system the game normally uses.
Proof of concept of Tails AI working in SA2. Kell and I have been working to get rid of the SA2 Animation system limit which originally doesn't allow character of different type to work together.
Just saying, but randomly tagging Kishimoto with leaked footage isn't the smartest move, neither is asking to "restore" whatever was in that video. There is no need to act like spoiled child because the early footage is different.
If you like Dreamcast models, my good friend VWP made a Rouge Dreamcast mod for SA1, it has custom voices, GUI and even gameplay with the kick mechanism. (Link in reply).
Let me tell you that playing Shadow The Hedgehog on co-op and rando as Sonic and Tails murdering every Gun soldiers was not on my bingo card, but it has to be one of the most funniest thing I've ever seen.
The reason why this is exciting for modders is also because more fancy stuff will be possible, such as porting characters from different games with their original animations and with a higher quality than ever.

Experimenting a Sonic Heroes switch style in SADX. I added and edited a part of
@MainMemory_
's CharSel code and combined with
@conankell
's New Trick mod, we get a cool result, it's far from perfect but I like it for now.
I see many people asking, so I'm gonna explain a bit, this is a new feature coming soon on my mod Better Tails AI. It allows you to fast travel with Tails, he will also do more things that I will share soon.

On the topic of "rare things SADX fixed":
The NPCs in Station Square don't touch the ground properly on Dreamcast (left), there is an offset of 0.5.
DX actually fixed that (Right).
