ok so turns out you can do an easier and more reliable setup with lattices! give a lattice a position constraint to follow the X and Y axis to stay centered on the object, then widen the bottom and its a very satisfying result fuckin love this stupid lemur balloon 🤤

Found out how to make it so you can wobble in place while inflated by moving your head! Here's how the system looks in vrchat with the camera changes and such Hand flapping, swaying and wobbling, all is possible it seems!

I made a (semi) functional 🎶MARIMBA🎶 for my avatar! And very likely going to be selling as an asset too! It only uses 10 contacts and 2 audio sources! So it doesn't automatically dip the avatar into "very poor" dunno jackshit about music stuff but I thought this would be fun!

Figured out how to bake bones to cloth sim (WHICH MEANS BELT POP IN VR) for those interested in how: -Make vertex groups on cloth object for every point you want a bone -Make bones for every point you made a group, aim it to the next vertex group via IK -Bake animation
