Raider spring sport athletes, my heart breaks for you just as it did at the conclusion of the boys basketball trny. When we are allowed to gather again I propose that everyone get in uniform again for one last picture......to be hung with the other champions that grace our walls.
Thanksgiving! The spirit of giving that we have seen in the wake of Erika's house fire has been nothing short of amazing! Tonight E was surprised by gifts from Eastern Hancock, Wapahani, and Lapel. We are all so grateful!! Happy Thanksgiving all!!
Tonight's it could only happen at Shenandoah highlight!! Gabe Young wins the long jump and the 100, puts on his baseball uniform and steals a base for, then comes back to the track meet and wins the 200. We think he may have tied the school record at 10.7 in the 100!!
Congrats to the Trojan Trio! Chase Kinsey (hoops), Joe Huff (football) and Cy Stanley (baseball) sign their letters of intent to attend Taylor University. How 'bout them Raiders?!!!
Thank you to all who prayed and sent their well wishes. It is at times like this where we are glad there are lots of people who care about kids. Now, let's continue to be prayerful....even more so than today.
The last time i talked to Bruce he called me and thanked me for nominating him for the Herald Bulletin's Heart of Sports Award.....no Bruce, Thank You!
After watching Jasper's heave several times from several different angles I have to say my favorite part is Jasper's "reaction".......which was really no "reaction"......like, that's what were supposed to do....put the ball in the basket.
So, this happened today! Meg Stanley, surrounded by family and coaches, makes it official! She will be a Taylor Trojan softball player! Way to go kiddo!!
I wish people did not take this approach to voluntary workouts. Athletes today have enough stress in their lives and demands on their time. I think we have it wrong.....instead of a 1 week moratorium, summer should have 1 week of workouts and 8 weeks of moratorium. Just Saying...
For all you athletes who don’t want to attend summer workouts.
‼️If you don’t go to summer workouts, you there is a very special place reserved for you during games in the fall.
Proud of the Raider effort today. Also proud of the fans who pointed out the guy that threw the bottle. We point out our unsportsmanlike fans and have them removed. Unlike the guy who verbally assaulted my wife and was allowed to remain...on the front row, no less.
SHS Principal Greg Allen presents a check to Erikka Hill for relief from their housefire. The money was raised by fans at the girls game between Tri & Blue River last Friday and totaled $740! We continue to be amazed at the generosity shown! Big thanks!

Gabe Young won Tiger Booster MVP and set the record for the meet in the 200 with a 22.6 electronic time. Handheld time at the line had him at 21.96 they said. Wow!!
Thanks to everyone that came out tonight. Special kids grow up in special places where parents and community care. What a blessing we have at the Doah!!
Raider grad Landen Freestone signs his letter of intent to attend Vincennes University where he will continue his baseball career. Best of luck, Landen!
In memory of our great friend Clayton Shultz tonight we will turn on the EH football lights! Also, today we are officially retiring

As I was driving home from Elwood Friday I got a call from Bball coach Rick Ellsworth. He wanted to know if I needed any help with the VB invite Sat. Long story short, our scorers were BB players that gave up a Saturday to pitch-in and help. Thank you all for the amazing help!!!
So....i know some of you enjoy my mistakes, but here is one from today that you may not have been aware of....i know i wasnt aware until a colleague asked me where i got this "pair" of shoes. Add 1 if you are keeping score!
