I may be unpopular for saying this, but I think it's irresponsible to kick your daughters out of the house at 18. Young women should live with family until they're married so that they can't be preyed upon by stalkers and violent men.
I'm going to be controversial with my spicy hot take, so brace yourselves: I will breastfeed my child if he's hungry in a public setting and if that bothers you, you're in the wrong. There is nothing inappropriate about a mother feeding her baby.
@Shardsof_Narsil
Hard agree. I want to build generational wealth. Our sons and daughters are welcome to stay as long as they want and even build on the homestead.
@musings_blonde
Not to mention the behavioral lessons it teaches, like rewarding difficult behavior, teaching that it's okay to be rude to your host, ingratitude, etc.
My son's baptism was one of the greatest moments of my life. I had pictures taken during the service for the family and friends who couldn't make the trip. The difference is that I look happy, modest, and the pictures aren't about me. I was focused on my boy. It was his day. ☦️
@luinalaska
I was feeling insecure about my postpartum physique and my husband looked at me and said, "Honey, you just had a baby. Of course you're going to look different. What matters is that you and the baby are healthy."
@kel_cee_xo
I think we've all kind of accepted that the winner is chosen by the CIA anyway and we don't particularly care anymore. I'm not interested in watching old people argue about who's going to send more of our money to Israel.
The people who ask me if I'm going to get a job are usually working mothers and they take it pretty personally when I say that motherhood is a job and that I want to be involved in my children's lives. Sorry, but I'm not going to minimize motherhood so that you can feel better.
Six years ago, I married the greatest man I've ever known. 🥹 We've changed so much since we said "I do." I thought I loved him as much as possible then, but my capacity for love has grown over the years. We've been through so much together.
@FrLillie
This is so true. I'm not a priest's wife, but I have been judged for wearing a headcovering, and several parishioners discouraged us from attending the Pascha service with an infant (we did so anyway). I'm a SAHM and that's not the norm at our parish. Lord, have mercy.
These parenting groups are so toxic, using psychobabble to describe normal childhood behaviors like stop pathologizing your kids, they're just being kids. Your toddler doesn't have acute anxiety, she's shy. 😮💨
Stop telling new mothers they're going to be sleeping deprived and miserable. Stop saying "just wait" like you want to taint their joy with anxiety. It's disrespectful. It starts like this, but if your baby sleeps through the night like mine, then they say to wait for baby

. 🙄
Everyone's been telling me "Just wait, you wont get any sleep!"
But you know, for whatever reason, both my husband and I are functioning just fine. The excitement of having our first child is getting us through the days on broken 4-6 hours a night. It's really nothing we've
See, this is when I use the block button. Yes, I double-majored in physics and engineering with honors and a minor in chemistry. It's not a fairytale, it actually happened, and I chose to be a SAHM instead. Cowards like her will never understand how blessed I am.
@TaraMMurphy18
I bought this swimsuit for my infant son. There is nothing like this made specifically for little girls. This addresses the need for easy access to change diapers or go potty.
@Fidel_Cashfl0w_
He was a hardcore stoner. Always high. Weed being legalized really went a long way to normalizing his "habit" (addiction). He was a trust fund baby and lived in mommy and daddy's spare mansion. He didn't have a job and his grandma gave him grocery money.
I feel very blessed to have no difficulty breastfeeding. I have an abundant supply and my baby latches perfectly. I wish this were the case for all mothers.
I went to the riverfront with my friend for a picnic lunch today and it was absolutely beautiful out! Bubs is 6 months old already, I can hardly believe it. 🥹 I love my little family so much!

No, breastmilk is best. If you're not giving your baby breastmilk, you're not giving them the best. It's true even if it's not fair or makes you feel bad.
The midwife who worked with my OB suggested abortion at my first appointment. I was 16 weeks pregnant and had discovered that I was carrying a baby boy in the ultrasound right before meeting with her.
If you're pregnant, you should ditch the prenatal vitamins and consume raw fish, fish eggs, raw whole fat dairy, raw/undercooked eggs, rare steak, liver, fermented cod liver oil, and butter.
My husband got passed up for promotion again by the tiniest margin. In order to have a reasonable chance at promoting next month, he has to leave us for two weeks. I have a broken car and am 2,000mi from family. This is so stressful. Please pray for us.
This is hømosęxual-coded. The cult of influencers has led to two presumably heterøsęxual men in good health deciding to take topless selfies together instead of just being men. It's incredibly gåy.
I thought we might go to the aquarium and the beach, but the aquarium is $40/ticket and the beach is $72 to park on weekends, and it would cost ~$50 in gas, and we'd need food, and I wasn't trying to drop $250 for an afternoon out. 🫠 Is this normal?
Okay, I know I've been posting lots of pictures of the boy tonight, but there's something so wonderful about holding a sleeping baby and I wish I could bottle this feeling forever. I'm afraid I'll forget what this felt like.
A Romanian priest made the sign of the cross over my head and told me that I'm Romanian now, so that's my birthday present. 😂 I'm an honorary Romanian! 🇷🇴☦️
I have a handful of friends who were supposed to have DS or Spina Bifida but turned out to be completely normal. I can't imagine how many normal babies are killed because their parents were coerced by eugenicists. Oh, and DS/SB are better than death, btw.
I'd rather give a baby - no matter what genetic disorder they have bc that's evil, tbh - a chance at life than killing it in utero. Doctors have been known to be wrong & push abortions when mother is most vulnerable.
If that makes me despicable I'M PUTTIN' IT ON A T-SHIRT, BABY.
Bubs is not having it. I just needed to change the sheets and take something out to the shed. He was screaming and crying even though I was right there and his dad was holding him. I took him into my arms and he immediately quieted. My husband said, "He really loves you." 🥹
The monastery was amazing this evening. We shared a fellowship meal after Vespers and our boy was quite popular with everyone. 🥹 I love going places where babies are celebrated. ☦️🇷🇴
@sleepycoquette
Pedophiles online are bad enough. Pedophiles at the beach or public pool are worse. Maybe I'm a cynic but I think it's completely inappropriate.
I was really happy with my first Mother's Day because I got to spend it with my family, and my husband made such an effort to celebrate with me. I didn't realize that he ordered a locket for me as well, and he's just waiting for it to ship from Scotland.
My great-grandmother would have been 97 on the 10th and so much of my personality and mothering comes from her. 🥹 I miss her dearly. I just realized we both did the "mom chop" with our long hair.
I went to the riverfront with my friend for a picnic lunch today and it was absolutely beautiful out! Bubs is 6 months old already, I can hardly believe it. 🥹 I love my little family so much!
My baby grins and giggles every time he sees me because I'm his mama. He doesn't even smile like this for his daddy. Right now, I'm the most important person in his life and it's my job to protect him. Mothers matter.
We never get enough pictures together because I'm always the one taking pictures 😂 but it's a beautiful evening, my husband is grilling burgers over a campfire, bubs is getting a leg workout in his bouncer, and I'm enjoying my little family 🥰
By choosing to be a SAHM, I'm saving my son from becoming a mal-attached, anxiety-riddled adult who needs "adult kindergarten" and SSRIs to function. Those are the people who think I need to get a real job. Imagine all the therapy sessions you wouldn't need if you had your mom.
@New_E_Mom
@musings_blonde
You didn't specify who was teaching the lesson. That's your miscommunication. If you're actually able to teach your baby swimming lessons, why wouldn't you? My husband is a combat medic/EMT/nurse, so he taught me infant CPR. He's qualified to do that. It was still a lesson. 🙃
Okay, I've made a campaign. 🫶🏻 We're so grateful for any help. It's really not possible to do without a car where we're living. Please let me know how I can pray for your family.
I got up to go to the bathroom and the baby woke from a dead sleep because I wasn't right there and started crying and my husband said he understands now why I'm basically glued to the baby and not doing anything else.
Note the posture: L is relaxed, the men on R are trying too hard. Note the wardrobe: L is relaxed fit, comfortable, looks well-made. R look like their suits shrunk in the wash. Looks cheap. Probably synthetic. Low testosterone. Physiognomy says R are trying to impress boys.
I have no opinion of what women like, but I would be curious to hear from women who are attracted to men. Tate is 37 in this photo; Gandolfini is ~41. Assuming you are attracted to men in this age group, who do you find more attractive?
I will post my hunch later.
Please say a prayer for us. We might have found a running vehicle that we can afford and it would be safe for our boy. If this is the case, we'll have to fly to get it and then take our son on his first road trip to get it home.
St Emmelia gave birth to 10 children, 5 of whom are commemorated as Saints, including St Basil the Great.
“To you, O Lord, I give the first fruits & the tithe of the fruit of my womb. Let these be an acceptable sacrifice, & let your holiness descend upon them!”
What a legacy.
My husband surprised me with a family fun night basket for Mother's Day. Snacks, popcorn, a movie, playing cards, Phase 10, Jenga, and a little recipe keeper box for me. It's so thoughtful! 🩷
My son is a dream. He's the happiest baby, he's slept through the night since he was a month old, and he doesn't have colic. For this reason, people seem to need to inform me that my second child will be a nightmare and that my son will have the terrible twos. 🤦🏻♀️
*at Publix grocery store*
60yo woman:
“Is that your first or second child?”
Me: “Our second. :)”
“She’s beautiful! Get the snip. Two is perfect.”
Me: “My wife and I want more.”
Woman: “They start out so great as babies then it just gets worse and worse.”
How can someone
This one because we didn't have a wedding but we celebrated our marriage at 5 years in our beloved church just after I found out that I was pregnant and we had a crowning and it was perfectly imperfect and so blessed. 🥰☦️
Changing our diets in a big way, purging all synthetic clothes (except swimsuits), eliminating all endocrine disruptors from our personal products, and reducing our dependence on tech. 🤍
As a bit of an update: We found a vehicle that's 10 years old, relatively low mileage and minimal rust, and should be reliable for the next 10-20 years. My husband can do all of the maintenance on it. We're getting it from a dealership with all the maintenance history on file.
Okay, I've made a campaign. 🫶🏻 We're so grateful for any help. It's really not possible to do without a car where we're living. Please let me know how I can pray for your family.
@luinalaska
I had this exact conversation with someone who is infertile and she basically said that my opinion didn't matter because I can have my own children and she can't. I wish she could see this. It's not okay regardless of your circumstances.
