I'm curious what the data is for this, but I've never seen a truly innovate startup function with a fully remote team. In person work seems to be pre-condition if you're at all interested in building something great. Maybe I'm missing an example, though.

Growing up on an industrial farm, I was surrounded by the technology that feeds the world. In 1800 it took 10 minutes of human labour to produce 1kg of wheat. Now it's 2 seconds. 🌾 Many of the most impressive technical achievements are obscure and rarely recognized.

I'm super bullish on custom JSON parsing for GPT models. I'm surprised there isn't more documentation on this. With it you can support unique answer formats for different styles of questions. IMO, this even more powerful than GPT function execution.

Two most important things missing from schools imo: 1. Psychological safety: Can I take risks and ask questions without feeling embarrassed? 2. Meaning: Do I understand why it's important to learn this (and am I excited to learn this)?

A game has been "solved" when you know an optimal move for any given position. A basic example, as many know, is tic-tac-toe. You win if you start in a corner and your opponent plays anything but the center in response.

@maggie_1i Profs don't necessarily get rewarded if they teach better classes (students must watch them regardless and they probably won't get fired). But if a youtube tutorial isn't good, it doesn't get traction in search or the algorithm. That's one of the fundamental difference imo.

Adding to this, about 80% of workers were farmers in the 1800s, now it's about 2%. Without the core advances in agriculture, society never could have formed around cities, and we would have far less workers to spend on other disciples (like the sciences).
