The Blue Jays lost a crushing game to the Tigers in 2021 (the Semien throwing error game) that helped to sink their playoff chances. Today's win is the type that may be overlooked because it happened still relatively early but if the Jays sneak in by a game or two, it matters.

Thing with Manoah is that if he’s going 5-6 innings, not looking great and filling the bases but managing to limit the opponent to 3-4 runs, it’s manageable. But he’s getting run out of the building and frying the ‘pen. The team needs to give him a reprieve. For his own sake.
