Joey Daccord has set a new #SEAKraken franchise record for the longest shutout streak at 139:21 and counting. Previous record: 139:20 by Martin Jones from Jan. 7th-14th, 2023 (part of last season's franchise-record 8-game winning streak). Jones also had a 115:19 streak too.

In the end: SEA gets a defensive blue liner at $$$ that doesn't break the bank (actually came in below @EvolvingHockey 's projections for a 2-year deal), fills Carson Soucy's spot, and lets them not rush or block prospects long-term. Solid process. We'll see if the bet pays off!

As pointed out by @ian_mendes & @DownGoesBrown (on @TheAthletic Hockey Show): there’s a very cool wrinkle to the 2nd #SeaKraken home game @ClimateArena . It will be the first time the Montreal Canadiens face a pro hockey team in Seattle since the 1919 Stanley Cup Final. (1/?)
