I just explained the Astros cheating scandal to my 7-year-old and his level of moral outrage was pitch perfect. "They should be disqualified from baseball forever!!" he said with gusto when I was done. It's really not complicated.

My oldest son works for Sun Devil Athletics and was working the ticket area for the baseball team yesterday. Zack Greinke came to buy tickets from him. My son told him he was a huge Astros fan and Greinke says to him "well, the team is good but the city sucks." LOL!

I just realized Hinch used Tucker to PH as a strategic move to force Cash to use his last LH reliever. This move prevented Cash from having a LH face Brantley in the 8th inning and we saw what happened there. As it turned out this was a brilliant move by Hinch. #Astros

The #Astros got nothing from Yuli, Bregman, and Reddick in the postseason, lost their ace, closer, and best hitter from last year, and still came one game away from making the World Series again. All in all, it's absolutely amazing they got this far...but it still sucks losing.

In the 1960s the Dodgers had a mound that was 5 inches higher than league regulations (20" and limit was 15"). This wasn't discovered until late 1966. Drysdale won the '62 Cy Young and Koufax won 4 straight from 63-66. The Dodgers won the World Series in '63 and '65. CHEATERS!!!

In 2017-2018 when the #Astros utilized the trash-can banging system they hit better on the road than they did at home. In 2019, when all cameras were on an 8-second delay they crushed it at home compared to on the road. The evidence suggests their system hurt more than help them.

My oldest son was at the game tonight. He now 0-5 attending Astros games this year for a team that is 19 games above .500. He's attending tomorrow and Sunday as well. I've told him his college tuition is cut off unless the Astros win the next 2 games. Drastic measures are needed.

Will Harris spent 5 years in Houston. During those 5 years he had a 2.36 ERA, 175 ERA+, 2.99 FIP, 0.987 WHIP, and a 9.5 K/9. Damn, that dude was so good for the Astros and I just don't think he ever was fully appreciated for how great he was during those 5 years.

Things that may you go hmm. Aaron Judge in the 2017 playoffs: Home: 7-21, 3 HRs, 2 2B, 10 RBIs Road: 2-27, 1 HR, 1 RBI Maybe, just maybe, players hit better at home than they do on the road in the playoffs. Unless we think Aaron Judge was wearing a buzzer also. #Astros
