@SamOlbur Would be nice to have a deadline for players sign. Otherwise they have to wait till June to play. It with no deadline, there’s no urgency and it’s bad for the game. With a deadline, there’s urgency which is good for the game.

@SamOlbur MLB Trade Rumors just did a deep dive on last 10 years of Boras clients that signed after January, they all got less than what was originally projected. Incredible this has gone on this long.

@SamOlbur It’s kind of nice at this point to see so many of his potential suitors completing their rosters and moving on from his guys. I can’t imagine his 4-5 big names are all happy with him right now.

@SamOlbur He’s a fossil. GM’s are sick of his stick. Other then Harper & kB, who was a make up for the Arenado debacle, his FA have signed for less then projected. Almost all have underperformed their contracts and teams aren’t having it anymore. Too much at stake getting saddle with 💩

@SamOlbur A deadline of Dec. 31st this offseason & i bet someone would've been more inclined to sign these guys on a contract close to what they are currently asking for.. Players dont seem to think it works both ways so they wont accept a deadline but it does.

@SamOlbur I think it mostly has to do with Boras just having finally worn thin with most organizations But it’s also an odd group of FAs. There are serious question marks with each his 4 guys so it’s not like he’s got a Juan Soto on the market. The problem is he operates like theyre Soto

@SamOlbur The Plan was to get them the most money possible. If he doesn't think he's getting fair offers, he's doing the right thing. Sucks for me as a Cubs fan as I want Bellinger and Chapman, but I understand how this happened. I'm not blaming teams either. I see both sides
