On Tuesday, SANTACO Free State stopped 10 buses from crossing the province to pickup Lesotho nationals at the borders at daylight. It's not the first, bus companies (mainly white) have been doing it, apparently for mines. When we wanted to do it, we were told borders are closed.

These taxi fare hike are a yearly occurance. Provinces have determined what these increases should be. Mpumalanga for example, decided not to hike. Some Associations will increase while some won't. In some areas Associations, fare hike is determined by commuter affordability.
