Blimey. Good decision Mr Ref:
Law 8.4: For any goal to be successful, the ball must be kicked over the crossbar and between the goal posts without first touching a team-mate or the ground.
Law 8.17: "If the opposition touches the ball and the kick is successful, the goal stands."
Go back and watch the Ford conversion if you can. After the try replay he is seen taking his 5 steps back and two and a bit to the left. He's then stationary for 12 seconds before he makes another step left and Wales begin their charge. But yep, by all means blame the referee.

Rugby should stand together as one behind all our players, officials and spectators. Alfie - stay strong and remain positive

Love that

have added a referee to the latest mini figure collection! And that it's a female ref too! Have amended the ball shape though...

100% correct from ref.
8.4 For any goal to be successful, the ball must be kicked over the crossbar and between the goal posts without first touching a team-mate or the ground.
8.17 If the opposition touches the ball and the kick is successful, the goal stands.
We’ll be thinking of the Rugby and refereeing community gathering in Coventry today to celebrate the life of Steve Savage who passed away a few weeks ago

@rugbyworldcup
massively disappointed in the keyboard warriors who are clearly out in force. The uptake of signups to refereeing courses around the globe will be amazing to see, given how keen some people are, and how good their own refereeing clearly is
Law is clear that ref should blow if ball carrier touches referee - nothing about a potential tackler. But, many refs would blow for “any other reason not covered by law” for equity sake

Twenty cards in eight matches: Players must take blame for rugby's discipline crisis
Nice piece here from

“How having a referee as a coach can transform a team's fortunes”.
This should happen at all levels. Bringing refs and players/clubs nearer together is a win+win for everyone!
This must never happen in rugby

A red card for Josh Helps and Scarlets' task just got a lot more difficult! 🟥
The tackle was clearly high so there can't be too many complaints 😬

Really do wonder whether the players are watching the debates about high tackles or are they all like Reece Hodge. There is one way to stop all the angst about whether officials are getting it right or wrong - change their tackling behaviour. Thoughts
