@iOS_Spotlight ah, yeah, there is some space around the image to account for the shadow. You can also use this template in the app (with any image), tweak it (adjust sizing, shadow etc.) and export it as a custom template. Then you could hook up that custom template to that screenshot shortcut.

@devatbay @marcus_eckert Triangle tutorials are actually great for getting to know how to do the basic setup. For writing shaders, the shading languages are alle very similar, so googling OpenGL might yield some more resources. Other than that, it's a bit of a journey:)
