Why? The toxic culture in games really gets to me these days. Below is a tame version of the pile of every day negativity, insults, or threats of violence. What bothers me most is that this isn't even at outlier, it's the normal. The DMs got so bad I finally just turned them off.

Planning on reverting a handful of card nerfs just before the upcoming set rotation. We’ll share details on exactly what those cards are in the next couple weeks but they currently include 5 Wild cards, 4 Year of the Raven cards (rotating to Wild), and 1 Year of the Dragon card.

New Idea: Class Bonus Event Tell me what you think in the comments. In constructed, a random class is chosen as your bonus class. Winning games with that class gives you double XP and double stars. After 3 wins with your bonus class, it swaps to a new one. Thoughts?

Requiring players to play some amount of Draft or QP to unlock ranked would allow us to make a significantly better judgment on a player's starting point in ranked modes. Currently considering this, though we're hesitant to add more friction to playing the mode you want to play.

Rank distribution for the end of November 2019. Data displays a players highest attained rank during the season. Must have played a game to be counted. A little different than data we posted in 2014, I imagine rank floors made the biggest difference.

I find that many extreme high-level players of games are also incredibly intelligent people. This is why it always blows my mind when those players run into a feature of a game that doesn't appeal to them or players like them and can't think of a single reason why it might exist.

Still blows my mind how expensive the housing market is. All you have to do is have a dual income household where both people are massively successful director level employees in tech jobs and you’ll be able to afford a modest family home driving distance from work. That’s it!

Really happy with Scholomance so far. Both in terms of metagame and the magical fantasy vibe. I had a bunch of favorite decks in playtesting, but post-release have had the most fun with Paladin and Shaman. Argent Braggart is my personal favorite card of the set.
