Dad called me all choked up. Wage subsidy for him & his worker all paid into his account after only 2 days. Now he can relax a bit. 4+ weeks off the tools for him will be weird. (He’s a 6 day a week kinda guy) Thanks @jacindaardern @grantrobertson1 the Govt & the officials.

We have a son and he’s perfect. Theodore Atawhai Southey-Hills was born two weeks ago weighing 9.3lb. We can’t put into words how happy we are or how great and cute he is. His birth was amazing and Stacey did a phenomenal job, we will never be able to thank her enough. 💜

The PM has said many times that mandates will end when it’s safe. Plenty of workplace mandates were put in place not by Govt but by workplaces themselves after consultation with staff. Many countries still have mandates, many removed some after omicron peak. We haven’t peaked.

Absolute bloody heroes. Surf life savers left their normal posts and hit the city streets to save at least 79 people. Including 69 people saved in the Wairau Valley in my ward, where the water rose so fast and trapped many. Thank you 🙏🏼👏🏻

I don’t like KiwiSaver tinkering. National already. - axed the $1000 kickstart - removed $521 a year in govt contributions - taxed employer contributions - added the $40pa fee ACT want to remove the remaining $521. These changes drastically change your retirement savings.

@KateAndrs Lol. Maybe do some research. Nz unemployment is lower than the Uk. GDP is higher. Our govt debt is 34% of GDP whereas your debt is 100% of GDP. UK inflation rate is far higher that in Nz. Our economy is in much better shape than most and our covid deaths are lowest in the OECD.

In Korea, road signs are in Korean & English, English isn’t an official language. Te Reo Māori is an official language in NZ. Why does National do this in opposition? This was led by them, they set up Te Mātāwai in 2016! Celebrating our culture & language should be bipartisan.

NZ nearly wiped out delta, hasn’t had an omicron outbreak yet & has one of the lowest death rates in the world. I wouldn’t call that scrambling. If we opened up at 85%, scrapped MIQ on Dec 1st & got rid of the traffic light system like others said. Scrambling may have happened.

UK going into hard lockdown and I just had to have a polite conversation with a local business who didn’t have a QR code displayed. “Oh we used to have one”. Yeah we gotta sort our sh*t out kiwis. This is up to all of us. Not just the Govt and the managed isolation staff.

Freedom of speech of course, but keep in mind there were five or six times the number of people who got vaccinated yesterday than the number of people at Brian Tamaki’s protest today. Funny how he speaks about freedoms, but he never wanted people like me to have any. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Woah. Did you know meningitis vaccine for kids is $120 per vaccine and you need a total of 4 to be vaccinated against both. My sister just went to book my niece in but is like… $480!!!! Whaaaat? Make all vaccines free like the covid one… k thanks bye.

We assumed the 8am AKL Emergency Management update would have been live-streamed with updates sent to elected members to disseminate. It was only a media stand up. I have asked for this to be rectified for the next updates. So we can all hear any updates and important info.

Auckland Council just voted to remove itself as a member of Local Government New Zealand. 10-10 with the mayors casting vote in favour of leaving. Turning our backs on a collective with the rest of Aotearoa New Zealand. Nice eh. Sigh.

This should really be opening our eyes to what’s been allowed for too long. He literally says he can’t use NZ workers cause they won’t work 7 days dawn till dusk and have too many family and lifestyle responsibilities. Skirting close to slave labour?

Imagine thinking safe walking & cycling was a waste of time & money. This govt are climate deniers. Their moves to cut safety projects, crossings, cycling & walking projects will also put more kids in danger. Other cities are ramping up this work.
