We are NOT glorified babysitters. We CANNOT monitor hygiene protocols and every a building. You cancel EVERY event with 25 people or more but will keep 31 kids in one room for 6 hours a day, and over 600 people in one building 5 days a week.
I am really tired of people complaining about every decision made by the powers that be. Listen to what your told and follow orders. It's not rocket science. People have nothing better to do than bitch. Be grateful for people trying to keep us all safe. Great job everyone!
@FRJHschool
FRJH made out like gangbusters at VolleyEast.
Tier 1 silver for the Grade 9 boys
Tier 3 silver for the Grade 9 girls
GRADE 7 girls played for gold(no results yet)
Grade 8 girls made it to the semis!
WTG, Ravens!
Hi everyone! Only 32 days until the 18th Annual Frank Roberts Invitational Hockey tournament begins. This will be our biggest tournament to date, with 20 boys' teams and, for the first time EVER, six female teams will be competing for a banner! I am super excited!
Sportsnet just played Kelly Loder's song "Fearless" while showing the highlights for the Olympics. It gave me chills. Newfoundlanders are so talented and it is wonderful to see and hear that the world is recognizing it. Congrats, Kelly!
@FRJHschool
What a game tonight for Game 1 of the Akita Shield. Frank Roberts pulled off the big win against our community school rivals Villanova JH. Next game is Wednesday night.
@shelbseroo
And everyone first thought all teachers wanted was another day off. As a teacher, believe it or not, we have our students' best interests at heart and we know our environment like no other. We saw the potential for a catastrophe in the making and knew the consequences. We do care
A successful first day of the RavensHockeyInv. Scores include: St. Peter's 3 - Villanova 1
Brookside 3 - Frank Roberts 3
McDonald Dr. 2 - MPI 2
McDonald Dr. 2 - Villanova 1
Frank Roberts 7 - St. Kevin's 1

congratulations to the Grade 9 girls Ravens volleyball team for winning gold in Tier 3 at the Eastern Regionals. Thanks also to their very generous sponsor, HF Electrical for donating our jerseys. We look fabulous!
One week to the commencement of the 18th Annual Frank Roberts Hockey Invitational. For all those parents who messaged about the dates, the dates are at the top of each week of the schedule, but I am posting the final schedule here. Please note the colours depict your division
@PeterCBC
Someone had a great point. Every time CBC shows a classroom, it has like 12 kids all separated by at least 6 feet. Why don't you show what real classroom looks like. Just another way the media is making teachers look like they are complaining about nothing.
@FRJHschool
our Ravens had a very successful first day at Ultimate Provincials, with a convincing 4-0 record and a 1st place bye into the playoffs for tomorrow! Game at 10:50am.
Heading off to work. Might want to stay home but the chance to even get a glimpse of some of my students is stronger... even if I only get to wave to them. This is going to be a long few months.
@FRJHschool
What a fun few days we had playing hockey in the Brookside/ PWC annual tournament. Thanks to
@BrooksideInt
for a great time. Tier 2 Champs. Merry Christmas to everyone and we look forward to more fun on the ice in the New Year
The playoffs are set. A fee little errors in the goals for and against and I am tired, but the results are the same. Quarter-finals start tomorrow at 4 pm.
And last but not least, in the Tier 1 Championship, it was a hard-fought game but it was the Mount Pearl Intermediate Panthers over the St. Paul's Vipers.

@SteveRTessier
Be consistent! It's one thing for everyone but don't out added stress on an already overly stressed system with a cesspool of infection. Can't do activities with people but we can ram 30+ people in a 20' x 20' room. Does that make sense? Education take many forms
@telyrobinshort
If you want to watch good junior high hockey, come watch the 16th annual Frank Robert's tournament taking place April 29-May 9 at the CBS arena and Robert French stadium in Kelligrews. It's the largest and only junior high tournament nobody knows about. Maybe people should.
What a great showing for the
@VillanovaSchool
Grade 7 girls basketball team. They played in the semi finals in their Provincials today. It didn't go the way we hoped, but the future looks bright for Vipers girls' basketball. Thanks Coach Mike and Scott for everything!

To all the media-TV, radio, Twitter- and all the first responders, including NL Power and our premier who was manning the phones for emergency services instead of being at home with his family-my hat's off to you all...now could you please look for my hat it blew away. Cheers!
@AnthonyGermain
I absolutely love Anthony's no-holds-barred commentary on everything, including the Olympics/ He tells it as it is and after 2 years of mixed messages and uncertainty, it is refreshing to get a straight answer from the media.
And "FINAL"LY, the last final of the night - Tier 1 boys. It was a nailbiter between St. Peter's and St. Paul's Jr. High, right down til the last few minutes of the game when St. Paul's got their second wind, taking the lead and never looking back. It was a hard-fought battle
The last child to become a teenager in our house! This can't be happening! How can she be this old and this mature and beautiful? Happy 13th Rhéanne. We love you to the moon and back!
@FRJHschool
Frank Roberts wins the Ultimate frisbee Provincials in convincing fashion, going undefeated all weekend! Male MVP- Rowan Theriault, Female MVP- Teiana Lambert and Most Spirited Player- Mathis Bourgeois!

Totally agree. The community spread this time around was not because of girls or boys playing sports. They never left the province. I am one of those who spends 5 days a week coaching. The kids need that bond,physically as well as mentally and so do I!
We are also working on finding ice time to reschedule the missed games from last night. They may not be the best times, but with playoffs starting on Monday, we need to have those games finished by Sunday. I should know more this afternoon on those games.
Great showing for our Ravens today. First we had a silver and bronze medal at Skills Canada then our girls' volleyball team won silver at Eastern Regionals. Busy weekend!
Today is Semi-final Wednesday. Not only do the boys play, but the girls are on the ice today, too! Good luck to all the teams as they compete for a spot in their respective gold medal games!
It wasn't meant to be, but it is still hard to think this is the last year for 12 of my boys and girl. There are always some special kids you will never forget.
