They are testing to see how to best implement electric cars, not to see if fans actually want it. NASCAR has moved passed fan opinion a long time ago.

There's no point to listen to fans on this. The fanbase is going to whine like hell. The truth is, electric will be the only way to keep NASCAR alive 20 years from now, so they don't have much of a choice but to start implementing it.

No. This is literally backwards. OEM only have the possibility to do this because there are fans interested in watching. Without fans, racing doesn’t exist. They need us more than we need them, I promise.

became a corporation. Corporations could care less about the opinions of their employees/fans. It’s all about what the stockholders want. Take the Chicago street race for example. Nobody wanted it, drivers included, NASCAR didn’t care. They added it anyways.
