Kudos to @IcelandFoods for taking the lead on this important climate issue - palm oil use killing 25 orangutans per day. This advert banned on political grounds. Not sure who they think will be offended, so, feel free to RT.

@RalfLittle @KatkinDrysdale @IcelandFoods The video was created by Greenpeace which supposedly means it was made by a political organisation, hence the ban. Yeah, total bullshit of a reason.

@RalfLittle @IcelandFoods It's ridiculous to ban it, it isn't political- it's a worldwide crisis

@RalfLittle @IcelandFoods All supermarkets should be refusing to sell items with palm oil. It upsets me so much. Flying into Kuala Lumpur Airport all you can see if ruined rainforest. It's a chilling sight.

@RalfLittle @IcelandFoods Barbara Streisand effect. Banning something gives it more exposure to curious minds online ;)

@RalfLittle @IcelandFoods The restrictions on political advertising on TV are there to prevent manipulation of elections. The ban serves Iceland well because they won’t have to pay for advertising and of course they admit that they still sell palm oil products. I’m not sure they deserve much kudos.

@RalfLittle @IcelandFoods This advert needs to be seen far & wide! Shout out to Iceland for helping to highlight this major problem in a world where too many use things without thinking of the consequences to produce them!
