I keep reading about all the challenges of college basketball this year, but if those guys really want to know about challenging they should play the 8:30am game the day after Christmas in the Holiday Tournament.

Thankfully we have guidance for basketball officials and crowd size for basketball this season. Although we have no scheduled season, no plan for a season or no communication on a season but we know when officials have to wear a mask and who can come watch.

My two cents for whatever it’s worth. Just go ahead and announce a January start to basketball games. Both sides can claim victory and then the kids know exactly what their season is going to look like because I think this where we are headed anyway.

All these people complaining about the state tournament experience being one day for teams that lose in the semifinals. Are we to far removed to remember when you had to win a game to get a trophy? Half the field played 1 game and came home with nothing.

Benton High School is looking to find one team to compete in our Benton Invitational Mid-Winter tournament in January. This is an 8 team bracket and each team gets 3 games. Each team will receive a stipend for playing. We are looking for a 1A or 2A size team.

Great day. First I got to help celebrate my good buddy Todd Tripp being inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame this spring and then the Rangers finished off a great week of basketball by winning the Goreville Tournament. Back in action Friday at home against DQ.

Difference between Illinois football and Indiana football is that when Indiana has their once in decade team they embrace it and enjoy it. Illinois football will want to fire the coach two years later because they don’t duplicate it.

I might never Coach a high level D1 kid but if I ever do I would love to see them play for @TeamCoachBuzz , @CoachPainter or @ForbesWakeHoops . Those 3 guys get it. Love what they share. There message is so relatable and applicable to high school coaches. Keep it up guys.
