For nurses week my former hospital had a taco truck during lunch for the nurses. They only had two people working it for thousands of employees and THEY MADE THE NURSES PAY FOR IT

I really think hospital admins must hate nurses. Itโs like they are competing for the Shittiest Nurses Week Celebration just to mock us.
Winner probably gets a free trip to the Bahamas or something.

i got an email yesterday that said "we see you". that's it. and "get the already free app for meditation that the phone company is offering so they can collect data on you". and "we see you"
@RNSuperHero
Sorry to hear that. My hospital had Taco Truck this week. There was a line, but they had pagers so you could go back when order was ready. It was free to all staff.

At our hospital, I guess we are supposed to appreciate them now? And instead of our unit providing meals every day we are having potlucks. Yay us!

My friendโs hospital did absolutely nothing for them other than bring in a scrub company that charged them more then what they usually pay. I made him a gift because he deserved one.

For Hospital Week, at the beginning of our shift we had โan awesome Fiestaโ on the floor below us during med pass hours. The โfiestaโ had chips and salsa and non-alcoholic margaritas. Thatโs it.

As a reward for the hospital getting through the 1st wave, they had a festival. Clinical staff weren't allowed time off, and the 30 minute lunch breaks weren't enough time to even queue at the singular food truck.
