Are Delta and American also price gouging or is the simple explanation of "you're trying to fly to a comically popular NYE destination on short notice from a place without many options to said destination" not drive enough engagement?

I was just in New Orleans for a bachelor party. Great fun, relatively quiet weekend for NO.
I bought the ticket months in advance.

Guess they don't teach geography at muttlake. Can fly into cities in Texas, Mississippi and drive to NO. Gotta rent a car anyway.

Basically the Huskies are complaining about a football weekend that costs similarly to going to Cougar home game and staying at the Residence Inn. Only difference is they are only doing it for 1 game. Many Cougs do it for all games.
