Testing out some dynamic cloud masking with some of the bigger explosions. It's also fully dynamic in terms of size and location.

Currently in the middle of some VR UI polish.
Static UI elements (like subtitles) now "float" rather than staying locked on to the player's head.
Much less susceptible to jitter and makes it a nicer experience in general.

Stress testing improved lighting scenarios via randomization. In this case it's Red Sea with Sirens Of Defeat weather.

Another pass on the new cloud system. It runs approximately 1-2x better on higher settings compared to the current PCbeta/PS5 version [2.0.11].

Spent some spare time on the weekend on a tiny project to learn a thing or two about physics based flight on a really questionable artstyle.

Getting player movement feeling somewhat nice early on has always benefitted in the long run.

I'm at a loss for words. I really didn't think it would get funded this quickly. I was expecting a week AT LEAST to meet the initial goal. But we did it in 16 hours. You guys are amazing. Seriously.

Time certainly flies.
Really happy with the progress considering in late 2015 I had no art skills and minimal programming skills. Dev tools has come a long way and learning them was a blast.

Midday lighting is typically a big no no when setting the time of day. The new process alleviates that a little bit.
While it's not accurate and exaggerated in some places. It definitely gives the new landscape a new sense of depth during non ideal hours.

The video showcases the suspension model and TakeOffs/Landing authenticity benefit you get from a physics based flight.
But honestly its all jank as hell. But the nav lights are pretty at least
