Today, I truly feared for Aisha’s safety as Convention Sergeant at Arms – I did everything I could to get her and her supporters off the stage away from the chaos.
She and her supporters should have not been put in that situation – I shouldn’t have been put in that situation.
Today was horrifying, unacceptable, and indicative of the growing threat to progressive, pro-people candidates and movement leaders.

I truly believe that if you had not evacuated the stage, Aisha would have been harmed.

I was extremely upset and quite shocked really to hear that the convention dissolved that way. I feel the most saddened for volunteers and party staff like yourself from the DFL and from Aisha’s campaign (and the peaceful members of the opposition candidate’s team) after all…
