If Russia does this to churches then what are they doing to mosques in places like Syria.

Founded in 1794, but rebuilt in the 21st century after Stalin destruction. Some mosques in Syria bombed dates back to the Middle Age.

This follows the practice of Soviets of destroying religious buildings as part of the imperialistic policies, there actually exists a photo of Soviets destroying 13 (thirteen) century Bibiheybət mosque in Baku.
