It’s been a difficult time for everyone involved in this.
I would like to thank
@JaneRockHouse
for allowing me the opportunity to set the record straight and give the true version of the events that occurred. The journalism in this thread and the article is truly incredible.
MUST READ: A doorbell video showing a purported Labour member door-knocking in the local elections in

went viral this week. It was shared by

Selling masks for 20 rupees each ($0.12 U.S). When a buyer jokingly said "I don't even have 20 rupees", this little boy replied "take it for free"..buyer asked won't your mother be upset..his reply was.."my mother told me a very bad disease has spread” 🥺😭❤

Surely it’s his right to refuse to shake hands with whoever he likes? I’m not saying I agree or disagree with him not shaking hands, just merely that it is up to him...

Thank you
@jessphillips
for highlighting this. I am the councillor involved in this, and I have explained the true story in this article. I really hope no one ever has to experience anything like this again.
Honoured to be elected to serve the people of Netherton & Holly Hall. Now the real work starts, as we support all of the community and repay the trust given to us.
In 6 weeks time, Stourbridge has the opportunity to elect the amazing

Residents finally have the opportunity to vote for change, vote for

C’mon Cat!!!!!
Huge thank you to

I also reiterate the message; if you shared the manipulated video or details of those involved, do the right thing & delete
Great to catch up with my good friend Cllr
@QUnited91
offering my support to his friend and colleague who was the victim of horrific abuse following the publication of a manipulated video.
I urge anyone who is in possession of the doctored video to delete from all platforms.

A great way to launch the campaign, with so many coming out to show their support.
@_SoniaKumar
will be an excellent candidate and MP, repairing the damage the conservatives have done to Dudley.
On Thursday 4th July, Vote for Change, Vote for Labour, Vote for Sonia 🌹
In exactly 2 months time, we have a chance to send a clear message to the Conservatives that enough is enough. Those elected to serve the public should have the highest standards of integrity - Labour will make sure they uphold this.
Even on Good Friday, Cllr Elaine Taylor,
@shaneilamughal
and I are out on the doorstep, talking to residents and tackling issues such as fly tipping and pot holes.
All issues have now been reported to the council for quick action to be taken ✅
Made a new friend whilst out campaigning in Netherton today.
It’s also great to talk to so many residents, some lifelong Conservative voters, who will be supporting Labour in the local and general election this year. Change is needed, and
@UKLabour
will deliver it.
Spent the day loading my car with presents from Operation Santa and sorting them into categories. Brand new presents available to those who are unable to purchase any this year.
@StThomas_CA
have an amazing group of volunteers! So proud to be part of this network.
Doesn’t matter if it’s raining 🌧️, sunny 🌞, or even hailing ❄️. We will be out on the doorstep as your Labour candidates in all weather, even when we get all 3 in the space of a couple of hours 😀.
So many residents have been let down by the Conservatives for far too long.
Thank you to
@MaryCreagh_
for hosting me for the day. A very enjoyable experience. Great to talk to voters about how Labour and Mary will bring about the change we so desperately need!

Wow! What an amazing way to celebrate the wonderful achievements of our students in 2023. It was a pleasure to see so many friendly faces, both past and present. A huge congratulations to all our awards winners.
A productive morning at St Andrew’s Church in Netherton, helping clear up the graveyard after hearing from residents struggling to get to the graves of their loved ones. Much more work still be done!
Another successful session this evening in Halesowen with Matt, Gail &

Remember, if you want change, you have to vote for it.
Vote Labour on Thursday 🌹
Another couple of brilliant sessions with the Labour 🌹 team in Netherton & Holly Hall today, talking to residents about local issues.
I have reported issues such as blocked drains, fly tipping and potholes on footpaths! ✅ Even if meant getting bitten in the process 😢 😂
A brilliant win today! Manchester is Red ⚽️🔴
And Labour were represented at the game too 😉.
Let’s make sure this is the start of a summer of red victories 🌹
So, yesterday was eventful! Was so excited to finally get to see
@ManUtd
play again, just for my car to go up in flames on the motorway just 15 minutes away from Old Trafford. Lucky to have survived, but that didn’t stop me getting to the match for the second half!
Successful schools with a proven track record are all saying the same thing. It’s important we learn from them, stop trying to reinvent the wheel and start getting the basics right in all our schools for all our students
📈 Schools with large numbers of poorer pupils say they have boosted progress scores by installing new leadership, tighter behaviour rules and reaching beyond the school gates
Whether you celebrated yesterday or are celebrating today, I’d like to wish everyone Eid Mubarak. May we remember to sacrifice for the betterment of everyone around us.
Exactly this - the last month for me personally has been filled with a couple of really sad moments/news. Yet I can’t describe the peace that the Ramadan gives you - it has been one of the best months I have had in years. We end it only wishing we will get to experience it again
No child should ever have to go hungry even for a day, never mind 13 weeks in a year.
Regardless of your views of who’s responsibility it is, what parents spend money on etc etc, just remember: it is never the child’s fault!

In my first year of teaching, I wanted page 60 something of 100+ page document. Damage had already been done by the time I went down to the printer half an hour later… printing job limits were brought in soon after
Our amazing year 11 students have been turning up in large numbers for their Hard Work Pays Off sessions this half term, with attendance in the 90s for each day. Geography, followed by Travel & Tourism, still to go tomorrow.
It may be raining, but that isn’t going to stop us speaking to residents. They quite rightly raised concerns about the waiting times to see their GP. They also raised the state of some blocked drains on the road - I have reported this to the council for them to look into
There’s only one way to spend the final canvassing session before polling day - speaking to residents to ensure the amazing
@_SoniaKumar
becomes Dudley’s first ever female MP.
Want change? You need to vote for change. Vote Labour 🌹
Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm
Whilst talking to residents in Holly Hall during the bank holiday, we came across a number of issues, including fly tipping. We reported these immediately, & I’m pleased to say I have returned today to see the rubbish is now removed.
Your local Labour team working for you 🌹
It may be the penultimate weekend before Christmas, but Dudley Labour are still out there, working hard for their constituents. So many residents saying that they can’t wait to vote for

Delivering
@catecclesstour
message to the residents of Netherton with
@shaneilamughal
this morning.
Only a Labour council, a Labour MP and a Labour government have the credibility to deliver.
Why did I go into politics? For this exact reason - to provide support to those who need it.
This is what it should be about - MPs and councillors working together to serve the public.
That is what Labour represents 🌹

You will see strong routines and a positive culture from the moment students arrive.

Today, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to visit

Great to be able to attend this event and hear how Labour will get Britain’s future back. Not just some fancy slogans, but clear actions.
Only Labour will deliver for the British public
Well, that’s the end of the hardest term personally.
Saying goodbye to a friend & colleague as they move to pastures anew, to deciding to leave my school in the summer term, after 7 amazing and successful years. No idea what September will bring; let’s see what God has planned.
Don’t care what anyone says, this is the best thing of 2019. Just when I thought that
@OfficialTfGM
could not get any better with their information screens.
First day of holidays: Drive to Manchester to hand deliver wedding invitations
Second day of holidays: Drive to Bradford to pick up wedding dress
I think I might go into work tomorrow to get some rest!
Thank you to our students and staff who today have raised £485.45 for our fund raising appeal to support the victims of the Turkish/Syrian earthquake. We are blessed by the kindness and generosity of the Stuart Bathurst family.
It may the summer break, but I can’t switch out of work-mode. Finally managed to finish teaching myself how to write the macro code to automatically email parents with their child’s QLA attached, at the touch of a button. All year 11 parents emailed.
