Pueblo police provided a courtesy ride to an elderly citizen and his dog. We had a hard time getting the dog out of the police car. Apparently the dog wanted to continue his “ride-a-long” with the police… and be the driver!
This afternoon, Officers Jordan Klopp and Adam Quintana blocked heavy traffic on Hwy 50 Bypass near the Fountain Creek while protecting a beaver in the roadway.
Just after 10:00p several suspicious parties were contacted in Pueblo City Park. They were warned about the park curfew closing at 10:00p and given a warning.

33-year-old, Chelsea Trujillo and her son were located by Pueblo Police. Trujillo was arrested on child abuse and restraining order violation. Thank you to everyone who assisted on this case.
AVOID THE AREA
There is a fire on the east side of Minnequa Lake. Please avoid the area. Pueblo City Fire is on scene.
Pre-evacuation orders are in place for the Lake Minnequa Neighborhood.
Officer Sanders was doing speed Enforcment in the 2000 block of W. US HWY 50 at around 2:37pm. He clocked and stopped a driver doing 108MPH in a posted 45MPH zone. He was cited and will most likely lose his license as a result of the 20 point violation.

On April 21st, 2022 Officer L. Morales was dispatched to the Pueblo Riverwalk on a dog that was drowning.
Officers used a ladder to save the dog and retrieve it from the water.

Pueblo Police have issued 112 citations between March 29th-April 4th for unregistered vehicles. During this enforcement we have arrested several people for warrants and towed several vehicles for no insurance.

Paws Fire - City Park and the Aberdeen area next to city park have been evacuated due to a fire on both banks of the Arkansas River. Pueblo City Fire and several other local Fire Departments are fighting the fire. Due to the high winds the fire is challenging to control.

Pueblo police were dispatched to a motion activated bank alarm at a credit union. When police arrived they noticed blinds in the building we’re moving.
Police found a bird burglar in the building that was trying to get out. The bird was safely escorted out of the building.

Today we celebrate the retirement of Corporal David Jacober. Corporal Jacober served the City of Pueblo and the Pueblo Police Department for over 18 years. For more details:
Between 6-3-17 & 7-3-17, our department received 319 calls for service on fireworks. This year, we have only received 62 calls for an 81% decrease! We wish to thank everyone for the voluntary compliance with the fireworks ban and ask for continued compliance on Independence Day.

Pueblo Police Corporal Kenneth Matic went above and beyond the call of duty to help a motorist who had lost his rear tire and hub. Corporal Matic visited a local tire shop, acquired the necessary tools and fixed the gentleman’s car.
Savannah Camele and Ricky Trujillo have been located in separate locations. Savannah is safe and unharmed and will be reunited with her family shortly. Trujillo is being interviewed by detectives regarding the circumstances of this situation. Thank you to the community and media
On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, a teenager had his bicycle stolen outside of a store in the 1500 block of Troy Avenue. Through the generous donations of citizens and in partnership with Walmart Pueblo - Dillon Dr, a new bicycle was purchased and delivered to him.
We would like to send our deepest sympathies to the family, friends and fellow deputies of Deputy Sheriff Heath Gumm of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado.
