Last Friday we received an incredibly special video. One of our inspirational people we have named our classes after is Ed Sheeran. Sheeran Class have found out about why we have chosen Ed Sheeran as a class name - look at what Ed sent back to us! We are thrilled!
Well done to our Year 5 pupils who were brilliant in their performance of Romeo & Juliet at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich in the RSC Schools Festival. You were amazing!

A huge thank you to Bradley and Ben from the
@Communitywarden
team who began spray painting our playground and access points to school this afternoon in preparation for June. We cannot thank you enough for your continued support.
This awesome young lady decided she wanted to cut her hair and donate it to The Little Princess Trust to help a child with cancer. She had 9 inches cut off during half term and raised £225. Look at the final total though. WOW! We celebrated her kindness in class yesterday.
BUT... after all the talented children, came a very, very talented and kind professional band who spent a day off from their UK tour, to play at KilnFest. We loved their music and we loved their kindness. Pet Needs we salute you!
@wearepetneeds
Thank you to everyone who had made our bus a reality! Mrs Kittle first had the idea of a reading bus after visiting another school who had one and now we have one of our very own.
When you believe you can achieve.
There may be another lockdown but nothing stops the Early Years having a dress up day! It was 'Dress up as a Superhero' yesterday in the Early Years. The staff in school joined in the fun. More pictures soon of those joining in at home and at school...
We held our Leavers Assembly today for our fabulous Year 6 pupils! Every child has received a certificate and individual and team awards were given out. Well done Year 6!
Our Nativity performed by our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 pupils has been awesome to watch this week. Each class' families are coming in for separate performances due to Covid - but the performances are brilliant from our youngest pupils!
Our thoughts are with the Year 6 pupils as they go to different high schools for transition days this week. You have got this! Stand tall and be proud of who you are! You are awesome!
Well done to all our fabulous Year 6 who went to Mersea. You were brilliant and we are very proud of you! Thankyou to Mr Troughton, Miss Tisbury and Mr Ambrose for your hard work and dedication!! Have a wonderful weekend!
I’m very proud of Mr Williams who ran a marathon today in aid of the neo-natal unit at West Suffolk hospital. He is a true hero especially to his wife Faye and his two young sons and of course to us at school. You rock Mr Williams!
Shackleton Class are dressed to thrill today! They are visiting the Braintree Museum today dressed as Victorians. A huge thankyou to their families for the great effort with the costumes today! You are awesome! What a brilliant learning opportunity in history.
Today Michelle from Ipswich Blanketeers came to collect the blankets that our pupils, their families and our staff have made for Palliative care wards at Ipswich hospital. We were able to give Michelle 10 blankets (Miss Tisbury has been busy!)!

Our families never cease to amaze me, and make me so proud to be the headteacher of such a brilliant school. We asked for donations for Ukraine, and we have been inundated. Thankyou families of Pot Kiln. You are just awesome!
Although we are late returning, so sorry for this, the children have had a wonderful time! The cast and crew were fab-u-lous! Thankyou Mercury Theatre Colchester x
Our first granny square created by the amazing Lacey W. This is for our blanket for the Ipswich Blanketeers who are wanting homemade blankets for end of life patients at Ipswich and Colchester hospitals. The first square of many!!! Well done Lacey!
On Friday we held our very first whole school musical festival called KilnFest. Each class performed a song with instruments, some individuals played and sang, and there were also performances from our amazing gymnasts as excerpts from our Y6 production. It was awesome!
It may be the holidays but Pot Kiln kindness does not stop. More blankets delivered to Michelle at Ipswich hospital for the palliative care wards. Well done everyone who contributed to these awesome blankets!
