One of the oldest ideas involving Pillar John, before he got the name, was some levels would slowly lean to the side which would cause the level timer to drop down to zero. You would feed John collectibles to stabilize the stage temporarily, to stop it from collapse. #PizzaTower

The Heat Meter is a scrapped mechanic, an idea taken from God Hand where enemies would become stronger the better you do in a level. At the highest level of Heat, enemies would acquire new attacks. However the idea was met with mixed reception, and was removed. #PizzaTower

Peppino's Super Jump Technique was changed a lot during development. One of the strangest cases was when the height of the Super Jump was limited a Lot, however the jump could be charged from a standstill. No one liked this. #PizzaTower

When The Noise was first being developed to be playable, one of the earliest ideas to make him unique to Peppino was give him a Grappling Hook. The hook was then made into a Washing Machine, that also doubled as his grab. Both functions and ideas were scrapped. #PizzaTower

(Jumpscare) In Don't Make a Sound, there is a 1/10 chance that when being Jumpscared, the scare will be replaced by an Oktoberfest celebration, complete with a soothing green background, and a yodel. However you still get punished the same way as a normal scare. #PizzaTower

One of the oldest scrapped songs is known as The Phantom Tower by Mr. Sauceman. Posted as early as July 2018, this song was scrapped for a few reasons, such as Mr. Sauceman not liking it for feeling "too loud" and for there being no proper place to put it anymore. #PizzaTower

In the SAGE 2019 Build, there is a handful of Cowboy Tasks that one can complete, from getting all S Ranks to clearing stages under certain conditions. Completing all the Cowboy Tasks gives Peppino (and Snick) a Cowboy Hat to wear around. #PizzaTower

Pizza Massacre was a concept for a game before the idea for Pizza Tower came along. It was going to be a Horror-Themed Resident Evil styled RPG with 2D sections like LISA, inspired by Evil Dead where Peppino would fight pizza monsters. Here's some sprites from it. #PizzaTower

Break Dancing was once more than just something silly you could do by holding down Taunt. It used to be an attack! It was bound to its own button, so you could still grab, taunt and parry enemies too. The move was eventually removed. Here's some footage of it. #PizzaTower

In the 2018 Halloween Build, Pepperman's health was determined by what colour of Pepper he was. Red - Full Orange - Weakened Yellow - Low Since then, Pepperman lost his ability to change colour and is now just a Red Pepper in the final game. #PizzaTower

In earlier builds, instead of Gustavo using a Spin attack, Gustavo would have Brick eat and spit out enemies, similar to Yoshi in Super Mario World. This was cut from the final game. #PizzaTower

In earlier Demos, Pepperman used to be much bigger. He was then later shrunk when he was planned to be playable for just the Freezer. The idea for Playable Pepperman was very short lived, and while Pepperman was never in any demos, he still remains in broken code. #PizzaTower

Pizza Crawler was a once planned, short-lived side-game for Pizza Tower. Gustavo would play the role of main character and gameplay was akin to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. The idea was that people in the Pizza Tower Discord could submit concepts, sprites and music too. #PizzaTower

During development, Playable Noise was given an Analog Dab, unique to him. This was done with the LT of a Gamepad. In later builds, this function was removed and it is currently unknown if it will make it to the final game. #PizzaTower

Snotty is a green Cheeseslime that takes residence on the fourth floor of the Tower. If the player kills Snotty, a Snotty tombstone will be planted there. If kept alive, Snotty will follow the player out of the Tower at the end and the file becomes Snotty Approved! #PizzaTower

In the early versions of Crust Cove (Pineapple Beach at the time) Peppino would start the level in a ship, where he would then have to find a key to get out. In the final release, the ship was moved to the middle of the level and was given different graphics. #PizzaTower

Peppino and Gustavo's sprites have them wear Yellow clothes. This is done so that the outfit function changes Only the clothes like a chroma key. If white, Peppino's teeth and eyes would be affected. Despite being yellow, there is no yellow clothes as an unlockable. #PizzaTower

Mort The Chicken from the PS1 game, Mort The Chicken is a Guest Character in Pizza Tower that shows up in the stage Fun Farm. McPig simply asked the creator @edannunziata if Mort could be in Pizza Tower and he said sure, no strings attached. #PizzaTower

One of the Pizzasonas within Secret Stages is actually Teimo from My Summer Car. The person who got Teimo into Pizza Tower as a Pizzasona is one Simo "Kaappis" Kauppinen who voiced the character and claimed the devs gave him permission to use Teimo however he wants. #PizzaTower

As was pointed out by @emihead these sound effects were also taken from Norman Cook – Skip To My Loops under Track 42 (Stabs) Other sounds from Skip To My Loops were also used in Pizza Tower such as the Golf Score SFX (may be future facts from this)

The Pizza Tower Halloween 2018 Demo had a Dance Party, where people in the Discord could submit a character of theirs to be put in the party. You needed and A or S Rank to gain entry. There was also a jukebox to play songs, some of which are not in the final game. #PizzaTower

Also these sprites (and the not-shown candy blocks) were originally made by Tocinin, Fallatious and BonnieMuffins for the Hardoween Demo, where people from the Discord could submit sprites as decor. So McPig did not make these sprites to begin with.

An idea for a level that was conceived was a level known as Canadian Winter. There's no build of it, and in the image below from the Game Design Document is the only known idea on what it would be like. Some ideas like Sticky Floors would be reused however. #PizzaTower
