Sumrall High School has now officially named Andy Davis the Bobcats’ head baseball coach.
Since Davis took the head coaching job, the Bobcats have clinched the Region 7-4A title and has guided Sumrall to a 21-2 record.

Just got off the phone with Sacred Heart coach Lonny Schraeder, whose team is 0-7 and plays Lumberton Friday night. It's been tough for Sacred Heart this season, and he had a powerful message about it:
The MLB Draft starts today with the first 78 picks. Joe Gray is expected to go sometime today, while Dexter Jordan could be a Day 2 pick. In all, the draft is three days, 40 rounds and well north of 1,000 selections.
