@Phantom_TheGame Remember when pen and paper artists said the same thing about digital media? Photoshop will never replace me they said. If u r an artist, u know how to use photoshop today. Will be the same thing. The definition of artist has just expanded. Same as then.

@Hacktivate16708 There is a difference between going from drawing with a pencil to drawing with a mouse, and actually being able to create any scenario that looks completely real, using any person you want by just writing a couple of sentences.

@Phantom_TheGame Is it really that different from what we have been doing already for decades with procedural generation and noise textures tho? Most games and movies are already filled with machine generated visuals that humans never touched. Don't even get me started on water in games..

@Phantom_TheGame I feel like the problem isn't gonna be the in your face uncanny valley stuff that everyone complains about. It'll be the ones you don't notice. Like how people praise certain movies for not using cgi, but in reality it's all over it, just done in a way that's not super evident.

@Phantom_TheGame As long as we'll follow the capitalist / neo-liberal model, yes, art will be a product first. Doesn't have to be.

@Phantom_TheGame Though there is an argument for reducing the barrier to entry and increasing the ceiling for the truly skilled. Some tools (such as AI-enhanced rotoscoping) seems really amazing, and allows for single people to do a whole lot more at a lot less time.
