Having ADHD or any neurodiversity doesn’t make you act like a cunt. Being a cunt makes you act like a cunt. Stop perpetuating the myth that neurodivergents - and by association people with any different ability - are not functioning members of society who cannot fit in.

@PetulantWench @WitchWithWords Neurodiversity can be an explanation, not an excuse. Your behavior is still your responsibility, even if your challenges are higher. (AuHDD myself) Knowing your "wiring" is different is a clue to realizing you need to filter your outputs.

@SheldonHaynie @WitchWithWords This is purely directed at the people who are purposely horrible to people and then turn round and say “I can’t help it I have ADHD or autism”

@PetulantWench THIS!! I never blame behaving like a cunt on my autism. Sometimes I’m a cunt. Sometimes unintentionally, sometimes in the full awareness of what I’m doing, but zero times has it had anything to do with me being neurodivergent.

@PetulantWench @WitchWithWords Sometimes I upset people because I’m too blunt. I suspect this is related to my ADHD, however when told I always apologise and reframe it.

@suzPOV @WitchWithWords I wouldn’t say that’s being cunty though, that’s a genuine part of neurodiversity that can’t be helped but at least you have the presence of mind to care if you’ve upset people. It’s people who are just horrid then shit themselves and blame ND for it, it infuriates me!

@PetulantWench Exactly this. I never ever let my son use his ADHD as an excuse for anything.

@PetulantWench Hiding behind autism etc is cowardly. Own up to your mistakes and try to be a better person.
