Through 4 games in their PSU careers: Saquon: 373 yards on 42 carries (8.89 YPC) Singleton: 376 yards on 42 carries (8.95 YPC) That’s a pretty crazy (very near) coincidence. Kaytron Allen is 217 yards on 36 attempts (6.0 YPC) which is pretty damn good too #lawnboyz

#PennState at #Iowa Football Here’s a look at the starting field position (SFP) for the offenses. Iowa has 3 defensive scores and a total of 20 drives starting in opposing territory. PSU is 1 and 8 in those same metrics. This gives the Hawks an ave SFP of 42 vs 30 for PSU.

@PennStateRivals For me it’s 2017 OSU and it’s not close. Even if 05 beat Michigan would they have jumped an undefeated UT? And if they made the Rose Bowl against either UT or USC they would’ve been big underdogs and likely lost. Beating OSU in 17 changes the last 6 years dramatically.

This really does show the problem with the ejection penalty for targeting. You can blindside someone after the play (when he’s not expecting it and may more likely to lead to injury) twice in a game. Making a football play like Carter did - before the whistle - gets you tossed

Some of this will be in my weekly @fortheblogy post but the Gopher defense was allowing a QB rating of 94 and 5.3 yards/attempt going into last night. Sean Clifford had a rating of 190 and 9.5 yards/attempt. These are close to the top conference performances in his career.

Some Things: - 17 different receivers caught passes. That has to be a record. - PSU rushed for 6.9 YPC (requisite “nice”). If you take out the 70 yarder they still averaged 5.0 which they did only twice last year. - 264 yards allowed is pretty damn good and would be tie-2 in ‘21
