Here's the speech I made at a pro-democracy rally in March. I made the speech in my own time (on a Friday evening) and *not* on behalf of the FBU. Still, FBU leaders kicked me off the national executive and debarred me from office for two-years.
Fair?
@PaulEmbery
couldn't disagree with a word of that but what will you do now paul?carry on voting labour?๐ cos you know at least theyre better than the tories
@PaulEmbery
@2tweetaboutit
Nope, identity politics and intersectionality has destroyed the class divide system and has turned people against each other instead of against the rich. Especially the middle class and minority alliance vs the working class, a working class who no longer have a voice in labour.
@PaulEmbery
Having watched the video Paul, itโs shocking to think that a person is not allowed to have a view on a subject which I am sure many of there members have the same view without being disciplined. SHAME on the FBU ๐ฏ behind you๐ช๐ช๐ช๐
@PaulEmbery
If we sat down in a pub and had a chat over a pint or two I think we'd agree that, politically, we are diametrically opposed.
YET...everything you have said in your speech I 100% agree on.
Keep up your good work.
@PaulEmbery
Completely not fair. Completely outrageous more like. And I believe you were protesting in your own time? What's their business to police what you do in you free time outside of work?
