We are aware of an issue regarding a slight increase of declined payments. We are actively investigating this situation and appreciate your patience while it is resolved.
2/2 We have suspended a campaign while we investigate. If a page is removed after investigation, we always send the creator the remaining funds or refund all pledges. Our policy is here:
The Patreon website and apps are not reachable at the moment. The initial investigation points to Cloudflare outage. We are getting in contact with Cloudflare and will update once we have more information.
Hello creators & patrons!
@youtube
is experiencing a site-wide outage, which affects creators and patrons attempting to view youtube videos on Patreon. Please refer to their twitter page for updates.
We've taken your feedback into consideration and have decided to roll back this change, making the download links available again, and reconsider how we can better meet the needs of creators and patrons for listening to and downloading audio. We appreciate your feedback!
@ProjektMelody
Hi there. There's an email in the queue from your registered address, but we can't resolve that via Twitter. We've let the team know, though.
Patreon is restricted in Russia
Over the weekend, we received a notice from Russia’s internet regulator that Patreon has been restricted in Russia. The block stems from the Russian government’s objection to statements from a Russian creator condemning the invasion of Ukraine.
We have been told by a few creators that they have been targeted by phone phishing scams asking for their Patreon credentials. Patreon will never ask you for your password or two- factor code over phone or email. We recommend two-factor authentication for extra account security.
Payments are still processing slowly, and we’re expecting all processing to finish by end of Wednesday (11:59 PM PT). We apologize for the delay and are working on an alternative solution. We take any delay in our payment operations very seriously.
Hey everyone! Patreon will be running scheduled maintenance today November, 26th at 11pm PDT to tomorrow November, 27th at 3am PDT which means Patreon won't be accessible via desktop or mobile during this time.
Hey all! We wanted to let everyone know that Patreon will be running scheduled maintenance from November 26th at 11pm PDT to November 27th at 3am PDT. Patreon will not be accessible on desktop or mobile during this time.
We had several questions about why we removed . We removed this creator because they shared an individual’s home address in a public video as part of a threat against that individual. We have a zero tolerance policy for doxing. 1/2
Apologies to patrons who received multiple copies of an email this evening! Our team is ensuring this doesn't happen again and is reviewing what caused such an abundance of thankfulness.
We’ve completed payments processing for March. Over the next few days, we’ll continue to retry payments for anyone who declined. We recommend enabling auto-payouts, which will automatically payout your balance on the 5th of every month:
Payments are processing at a slower rate than normal and we have put the site into maintenance mode. We are continuing to work toward a resolution to increase speed.
We're no longer in maintenance mode, so everything should be up and running. Thank you all so much for your patience as we worked to resolve this. If you're still experiencing any issues, don't hesitate to contact us.
A note to our creators and patrons: some members of our support team are taking a break this holiday season to spend time with their friends and family starting Dec 17th. As such, you might experience slightly longer reply times to emails. We hope you enjoy the holiday season!
Our engineers are currently investigating reports of intermittent errors when accessing the Patreon website. We'll post another update as soon as we have more information to share.
@Lisandro_FA
While we support Ukraine, our guidelines do not allow funding or financing military activity. We welcome humanitarian campaigns where weapons are not the focus, but not those used for funding weapons or military activity.

Hi Andrew --thanks for reaching out! If you have a Patreon account you can report a creator by following the steps here:
We will auto-retry all declined payments caused by this issue throughout the month. If your payment was declined, you can expect us to retry that declined charge. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this issue ASAP and are deeply sorry for the interruption.
@sternenko
Thank you for flagging. We monitor content on Patreon closely and investigate every user report we receive. We are reviewing this creator’s page. If you believe content violates Patreon’s guidelines, please report here:
But we are not abandoning creators in Russia. We have continued to serve creators in both Ukraine and Russia as permissible under U.S. law, including after Russia’s invasion, and we want to explain why.
The regulator has demanded we remove this creator and their content. This creator has not violated any of our guidelines and we will not remove them. Patreon will likely remain restricted in Russia unless creators and patrons there use a virtual private network (VPN).
Our teams are currently investigating intermittent 500 Errors when attempting to access parts of the site. We'll let you know as soon as we have updates to share.
First, our mission is to get creative people paid. To do that, we must put creators first. Providing stable income to creative people – particularly in the face of violence and humanitarian crisis – is the most creator-first thing we can do.
We're seeing a few questions about a potential delay in payments. We are currently running a bit behind as we resolve a processing delay. While every processing day fluctuates a bit based on many factors, payments are still on track to process within 24-48 hours.
To suddenly stop payments to creators who are pursuing creative freedom, building a livelihood, or trying to secure their family’s financial future runs completely counter to our mission.
Second, we have seen that creators are some of the most impactful voices who speak truth to power, spread hope during difficult times, and expose the gaps in the “official story”. We have seen many examples of that in Russia on Patreon and elsewhere.
An update: you might be experiencing high latency and delays with regards to site access and payment processing today. We are working as efficiently as we can to provide a full resolution.
A note to our members, we regularly retry declined payments. If your payment is currently pending, please know it should process over the next couple of days. If your payment continues to decline, please submit a support request here:

We often hear the 1st-of-the-month patron billing model is a source of confusion for patrons & creators. We're excited to introduce the option to charge new patrons when they join, and then monthly on that same date. Learn more (it's optional!):
We're sorry for the disruption. Our team is continuing to investigate internal server errors to ensure you can get back to the site. Thank you for your patience.

[status] Identified: We received reports that a number of patrons were double-charged on October 1st and a few days following. Our investigation found that the issue was not our end and that all confirmed cases indicate these charges …
We recently made a change to how we handle RSS feeds. Each app handles this kind of thing differently, and we apologize if you're getting any update spam. This change was made so that future improvements to RSS feeds can be made without this kind of disruption.
A note to our patrons, there was a bug for Android users where audio files were not able to be downloaded for certain creators. This issue has been resolved in the latest Google Play release. As always, please DM us if you need further assistance with this 😊
Creators can now preview posts before they publish. For posts created on desktop, you can now preview how posts will look for your members on desktop, email, and mobile web before you publish.
If you're seeing a prompt to update your payment details, please disregard this banner for now. Our teams are investigating an issue that's causing it to appear in error, and hope to have this fixed up shortly.
There was a bug this afternoon that briefly allowed some users to log in as a different account on our iOS app. Our team has resolved this issue and are continuing to monitor. If you have any concerns about your specific account please reach out to us:

Hi. The paid status is limited to the billing cycle on the first, but the drop-downs we mentioned in the tweet up-thread will show you all the folks who paid in a given month. That said, we are also working to resolve reported bugs in the relationship manager.
The team is currently looking into the situation with iOS login: folks will not be able to login via the iOS app until the team resolves this. We're sorry for this trouble but we do not have an ETA for resolution.
Logging in via a browser from your computer will continue to work.
The Patreon site and apps were not available because of an outage at Cloudflare. Services are up at this time, and we'll continue to monitor the situation.
We're experiencing an issue with regards to the payout experience. Thanks for your patience while we work to diagnose the issue. We'll provide an update once resolved.
We're sorry for the payout connectivity trouble, creators! We are working as hard as we can to get this sorted and will keep Twitter updated as we work to resolve over the next few hours.
A note to our creators and patrons: some members of our support team are taking a break this holiday season to spend time with their friends and family starting Dec 17th. As such, you might experience slightly longer reply times to emails. We hope you enjoy the holiday season!
