Had a great conversation with a MLB pitcher today, loved this takeaway..parents pay attention.. he said “No 10 yr old will be the best 14 yr old, no 14 yr old will be the best 18 yr old and no 18 yr old will be the best 24 yr old. Train for long careers! Late developers ⚾️

I like to use this occasionally when an athlete needs some feel of how to stay back and rotate on time. It’s an easy way to get them reset and understand how rotation plays a huge roll in throwing. I have seen it work great with youth and advance throwers #Athletic #Pocket #Stick

A lot of people misunderstand a few things why arm paths are important but one misconception that comes up is how short Joe Kelly is, at full speed it looks much shorter than when you actually slow it down. He is on the short spectrum but not as much as you would think 💡

Instead of constantly pushing “Intent” “grunting” “velo slaps” “run and gun” No shirt BP” to throw fast I have always gone the other way first and learn to be relaxed, under control, technical, sequenced and fluid to throw fast as easy as I can and as late as I can #MakeStarters

Easy to use drill for holding posture and power in your lower half. I make sure to set the slider close to the end of the slope and on our mounds we have a couple inch drop which allows slider to drop and get out of the way of the landing. A lot of positive feedback for lower 1/2

Sometimes you just got to improvise with what you got and where you are. Pitcher couldn’t feel how he was moving across body and causing him to cut the ball every time. Used the curb and it corrected instantly #feel #PWS
