After hours of searching, one of our officer’s was able to find the missing 82 year old Mary Stagnitto in a highly dense desert area. She could one be found on foot she was hidden under brush and a large cholla. Well done super cop T. Nicholson!

Today, an OVPD Officer observed a shoplift in progress inside a business. The officer attempted contact and they fled. They were caught and had a felony warrant. They had a stolen firearm and is a prohibited possessor.

Update: The fire has grown to approx 1,700 acres, burning in steep rugged terrain. Firefighters continued to use fire retardant & helicopter water drops to support firefighters on the SW side of the fire. There has been no growth on the SW portion of the fire near communities.

morning briefing, fire is at 2300+ acres & it is now 10% contained! It is extremely rough terrain but they are doing an excellent job creating fire lines & the humidity helped overnight. Wind will be the biggest factor. At least 3 helicopters dropping water today.

OVPD & GRF arrived on a medical distress call & took care of him. Mortar between the bricks was unfinished & drying. Capt.Hastings & Ofc. Brown removed the excess mortar/cleaned the joints along with some cleaning.
Working night shift can be difficult especially during the holidays. But, there is one thing our officers enjoy doing this time of year.. driving around the neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights! Thank you all for bringing holiday cheer to our 👮♀️!

1/12 Jeff went into cardiac arrest. Officers arrived w/in 2 min. & began CPR. Northwest & Golder Ranch arrived. AED & CPR until Jeff breathed on his own!
