Saturday Thoughts:
Drug companies should stop advertising on TV and other media! Why do they need me to tell my Doctor what to prescribe? Isnโt that why I am there? Just lower the outrageous cost of these drugs! ๐ท๐ ๐คทโโ๏ธ
52 years ago tonight, I went on a first date with a beautiful young woman who would one day become my wife! We went to a nice Italian restaurant in our small college town. We have been together ever since. She is absolutely the very best thing that has ever happened to me! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป

Memories
At 12 I asked my Dad to play in a Father Son Softball game. I never saw him play ball. His kneecap was blown off in WWII. He could not run. His first time up he hit the first pitch over the trees. He hobbled around the bases laughing and was the happiest I ever saw him!
My Mom passed away this afternoon from her terminal dementia. She was 98 and lived a full beautiful life. I will be off this platform for a few days taking care of things. Be well and keep your love ones close!๐ท๐
Historical Note: Today is the anniversary of the first Moon Landing way back in 1969! You kids out there, ask your parents how big a deal that was watching it live on TV! ๐ท๐๐๐ป๐๐ป
Our son arrived from Indiana to spend Motherโs Day with us! My wife is so incredibly happy this morning. We havenโt seen him in 18 months due to Covid restrictions. Itโs a great day! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
47 years ago today I married the most amazing woman I have ever known. I feel so very lucky each day as she is my lover, my wife, and my best friend. I am forever grateful for her love and friendship. ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป
Today is the 5th Anniversary of my retirement. I started working in 1973 and retired 15,614 days later! It was a good run. Nothing beats retirement! ๐ท๐๐
Last evening my wife went to visit her niece in the next town. As I sat outside watching the sun set, I realized that no matter the distance apart we are always together. It was about this day 53 years ago that I first saw her. Give the person who lights up your life a nice hug.

As I sit here on this beautiful night listening to Fire and Rain by James Taylor, I want all my Twitter friends to know that we all go through stuff, but you are never ever alone! May peace, happiness, and friendship surround you! ๐ท๐๐ป
Three people shot just now at my local Stop and Shop store. So far 1 dead and two injured! Massive police presence. I was there just yesterday! ๐ท๐ฎ๐ฎ
On this day 77 years ago thousands of Americans stormed the beaches at Normandy. My father was one of them. He was the only one to get out of his landing craft alive and reach Omaha Beach. Thanks to all those extremely brave men who were the absolute best of us! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป
As the windchill drops to -1, I am huddled here with my wife, the one woman in the world who warms my soul every minute of every day! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป
Two bacteria walk into a bar. The bartender says, "We don't serve bacteria here." And the bacteria says, "But we work here. We're staph." ๐ท๐

Just returned from my Momโs 96th Birthday Party. A fine time was had by all. When asked about Dear Leader her reply again was โIโd like to kick him where it hurts!โ Yea Mom!! ๐ท๐๐ป
My wife and I just got our 2nd shots and are now waiting the mandatory 15 minute monitoring period. The National Guard here took excellent care of us! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป
Wedding Party Update: My wife is so happy as 14 ICU/CCU Nurses she worked with before she retired are here! They are rockinโ the house! ๐ท๐๐ป๐ฅ๐ฅ
To All the Nurses, Technicians, Nursing Assistants, MDs, you are heroes! ๐ท๐๐ป
โTrue heroism is remarkably sober, very dramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others, at whatever cost.โ โ Arthur Ashe
Good morning from Maui. It was well worth the 15 hours travel time, all the Covid testing, all the health checks! Hawaii is SERIOUS about keeping everyone safe. ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป
Small World:
We went to dinner, the restaurant had keyboard player doing songs. He announces itโs his first real gig and he used to be a MD from NY. During his break I asked where he worked. Turns out we both worked at the same time at the same hospital for 20 years. ๐ท๐ณ
Revenge of the Resistance: This morning a Non-Mask Magat was about to get on the elevator (which require masks) that we were getting off. I said โdid you drop that?โ When he looked down I pushed as many floor buttons as I could as we exited the elevator! One small win! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป
Breaking News: Checked the Health Department website again for the results of our Covid tests. Happy to report my wife and I are Negative for the virus!! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป
48 years ago today at 7:30PM, I married the most amazing woman I have ever known. I feel so very lucky each day as she is my lover, my wife, and my best friend. I am forever grateful for her love and friendship. ๐ท๐๐๐ป
Return to the Land of the Giant Margarita! After 6 months we once again dine at our favorite restaurant and enjoy fine drinks!๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐
A Human Kindness: tonight the newest neighbor on my block used his snowblower to clear our sidewalk and our driveway. He took it upon himself to do it. We thanked him and tried to offer some reimbursement but he steadfastly refused! A genuine hero in our eyes! ๐ท๐๐
My wife and I decided to cut up a ton of vegetables for a nice pot of Chicken soup this nasty afternoon. Listening to โAgainst the Windโ by Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band. Good times with my honey! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป๐
Itโs so strange to see the same thing happen in your own neighborhood that you watched on TV over the last two weeks in other parts of the country! ๐ท๐ฎ๐ณ
Wednesdayโs Training Report: tonight my lovely wife and I went to La Tavola restaurant. I had two margaritas and Lobster Ravioli that was phenomenal! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐

โFor What Itโs Worthโ by Buffalo Springfield. A great song from the 60s, still felt at this moment in our lives! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป
In order to stay in training for a return to the Land of the Giant Margarita, my wife and I dined at CJโs on the Bay. It was two for one margarita night!
Magat sighting tonight! A Magat couple refused to wear a mask entering our condo complex. When we wouldnโt get on the elevator with them, the male Magat screams out โI guess no Antifa can sneak in here!โ My wife grabbed my arm which meant do not engage these idiots. ๐ท๐ณ๐ณ๐
Todayโs Beach Balcony Lunch Song of the Day: โHouse of the Rising Sunโ by The Animals
(You youngsters out there ask your parents about this band)๐ท๐๐๐ป
Sunday Science:
An infectious disease walks into a bar and the bartender says, "We don't serve infectious diseases here." The infectious disease says, "Well you're not a very good host!โ
This is just a test...if this was an actual tweet, you would have been mildly amused...๐ท๐
78 years ago my father was part of the D-Day Invasion on Utah beach. He was the only man in his landing craft to make it to the beach alive. Brave men sacrificed so much to rid the world of Nazis. What would they think about the f2cking Nazis who destroy our country from within?
Thursdayโs Beach, Balcony, and Chardonnay Music Memory: โFortunate Sonโ By Creedence Clearwater Revival. This was a great song from our youth and considered an anthem of the times! ๐ท๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Waking the Beach: Found this one shell among trillions on the beach. I realized how similar it is to finding your perfect partner in this world. I am forever grateful to the cosmos for showing her to me 53 years ago!
