Memories At 12 I asked my Dad to play in a Father Son Softball game. I never saw him play ball. His kneecap was blown off in WWII. He could not run. His first time up he hit the first pitch over the trees. He hobbled around the bases laughing and was the happiest I ever saw him!

My Mom passed away this afternoon from her terminal dementia. She was 98 and lived a full beautiful life. I will be off this platform for a few days taking care of things. Be well and keep your love ones close!😷😞

On this day 77 years ago thousands of Americans stormed the beaches at Normandy. My father was one of them. He was the only one to get out of his landing craft alive and reach Omaha Beach. Thanks to all those extremely brave men who were the absolute best of us! 😷🙏🏻🙏🏻

A Human Kindness: tonight the newest neighbor on my block used his snowblower to clear our sidewalk and our driveway. He took it upon himself to do it. We thanked him and tried to offer some reimbursement but he steadfastly refused! A genuine hero in our eyes! 😷👍👍

78 years ago my father was part of the D-Day Invasion on Utah beach. He was the only man in his landing craft to make it to the beach alive. Brave men sacrificed so much to rid the world of Nazis. What would they think about the f2cking Nazis who destroy our country from within?
