Welcome to my world. Not just a police officer. Building bridges. Forming relationships. Uniting communities. Creating a legacy. Enjoy the journey. Arkansas📍
UPDATE: it is confirmed that I had a heart attack. After being placed in CCU, a heart cath was performed where blockage was found. During this procedure a stent was placed in my heart. I’ll remain in the hospital at least one more night. Thank you for your prayers. 🙏🏼❤️
Today has been the most painful day of my life. My beautiful daughter Alyssa “daddy’s girl” is gone. She passed away this morning. I come to you tonight asking that you pray for me & my family. This is extremely devastating for all of us. We appreciate you. 💔🙏🏼
When I say I’m “more than a police officer” this is what I mean. I’m so grateful the gun and badge isn’t all that defines me! You don’t see a police car and uniform in this video. I’ll be hanging my uniform up for good sometime in the future and I won’t look back, but my heart
Something happened last night that I wanted to share. While we were at
@Topgolf
a server (not assigned to our table) approached us to tell us that she doesn’t know what it is but she felt a good vibe and positive energy from our table. Guess what her name was? ALYSSA! No
I just received word from my cardiologist that I did suffer a major heart attack with 90-95% blockage. I’ll receive an additional stent in 2 weeks called the “widow maker.” I’ll be honest I’m a little scared. Please keep me in your prayers. Thank you🙏🏼
Crystal from Stuggart, Arkansas is battling stage 4 small cell carcinoma cancer and needs MAJOR PRAYERS!! Please stop what you’re doing and send a prayer up for this hero! Thank you! 🙏🏼
It’s with a heavy heart that I share with all of you the passing of Miss Emma, who left this earth yesterday morning at the age of 82. Miss Emma passed away peacefully. On behalf of her family, we owe a huge amount of gratitude to people across the world who prayed continuously
Miss Emma has been so good to me throughout the years. She allowed me into her home quicker than most (bypassing the front yard and front porch I speak of). I could feel the spirit each time I walked in. She never allowed me to leave without praying. She would quickly tell me to
It’s with a sad heart that I inform you of the passing of sweet Asia. She fought hard but she’s suffering no more. Gone way to soon. Cancer really sucks. Fly high Asia. 💞🕊
Today Arkansas Governor Sanders signed what is called a “Death by delivery” bill into law, which allows the state to charge people who traffic Fentanyl with murder and sentence them to life in prison, if convicted. My hope is that this law will reduce the number of fentanyl
In the words of Michael Jordan, “I’m back”. Seventy seven days after suffering a massive heart attack, I’m back in uniform (that fits a little looser after losing 25lbs) and back in the community doing what I was born to do!

TISSUE ALERT 🚨 The saying “God works in mysterious ways” held true today! My Tuesday was somewhat blah and I can only attribute that to the approaching 2 year anniversary of Alyssa’s passing next month. I’m stopped at a red light and hear my name being called. The young man in
Today is big milestone in my life! 25-years ago I began a journey I never thought was possible! On June 15th, 1998 I became a police officer in the city who helped raise me. It’s been a humbling experience! I’m thankful I didn’t allow the badge to take away my kindness. I’m also
I won’t sugarcoat it, November will be a difficult month. It’s the month of my daughter Alyssa’s passing. As 11/17 knocks on the door, my heart beats faster. I’ll relive that dreaded day many times over the next few weeks and you’ll be reminded how amazing my daughter was. Her
Last March I suffered a massive heart attack followed by two stents being placed in my heart. Recently I've experienced recurring chest pain. As a precaution, I will undergo a heart catheterization on January 17th to determine if there are anymore issues. Prayers please! Thanks!
Today is a very special day! It’s our one year wedding anniversary! In the words of my wife
@Rosalynd_Nicole
one year down & a lifetime to go! I love you beautiful & I’m thankful for the life we share! 💪🏼❤️
**Prayers** This is a delicate and sensitive topic, but today was an emotional day for many people, including my family. My 23-year-old nephew was sentenced to 40 years in prison this morning for a horrific decision he can’t take back. I was in the courtroom as my nephew was
Being home sick today has given me plenty of time to think. The last two years of my life I would’ve never predicted, with the loss of my daughter followed by my heart attack. Then I think about my career with 33 months until retirement. If you ask my wife, she says I’m not
Prayers needed. This week will be a difficult one as the one year anniversary of my daughter Alyssa’s passing approaches (11/17). I’ve learned a lot this past year. One is the sadness and grief doesn’t go away. My daughter died 26 years to young. 💜🕊️
Health update: Went to the emergency room last night for chest pains. I learned quickly after last years heart attack not to ignore the pain. After 2 rounds of blood tests, chest X-ray and EKG, all results came back normal and I was discharged, told to go home and rest. I do have
I never wanted Alyssa to go. I told her that this morning. I told her I missed her. Alyssa said “Daddy I’m happy, I’m where I’m supposed to be” I told Alyssa I still can’t cry and she said “Daddy that’s because you’re strong” I love you Alyssa. I’ll see you again.🕊️💜 11/17/21
Some people ask me “why don’t you expand your horizons as a police officer” meaning why wouldn’t I be an investigator, test for promotion, etc. My answer is always the same. My calling is the community, the neighborhoods, the people. I couldn’t picture my career any other way.
You know what’s crazy?! In 1998 I had no clue what awaited me! First of all I’m still processing that I even became a police officer. Because “not me!” I wasn’t cut out to be one! A kid from North Little Rock, Arkansas who just wanted to be like Michael Jordan! When I applied I
I received a message from a lady who volunteers at Third Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, Ohio who shared with me that there is a photo of me and some kids on the wall of the church’s rec center. My response was wow! If you would have told me when I became a police officer in
Great news everyone! Dahlia received her new heart yesterday!! Her surgery went great and she is currently in recovery and in stable condition. Thank you to evervone who has offered pravers and words of support. The prayers have been answered!! Please keep the donor family in

I get up, go to work, come home, lay my head down and it hits me. My daughter Alyssa isn’t here. 16 months later. The pain still hits deep. Anxiety and depression still linger but my faith picks me up. I love you Alyssa. And I miss you. Daddy’s got this. 🙏🏼
For over a quarter century, I’ve given my blood, sweat and tears to the people (my family) of the community. I realize the longer I serve, the more people will pass on, but nothing can prepare you for times like this. The more you love, the bigger the risk of a broken heart. 🕊️💔
I have some heartbreaking news to share. Back on December 12th I introduced you to Mr. John Anderson on his 101st birthday. Sadly, Mr. Anderson passed away this morning at his home. Please keep Mr. Anderson’s family in your prayers. Thank you.
Confirmation that my grandson Chance is a godsend! This precious boy comforted me all night. God heard my prayers about being nervous ahead of my heart procedure today and who was by my side all night?>>>Baby Chance!
This picture is at least 7-years old and probably older because it was taken before all the social media hype. I share that because you won’t recognize any of the faces around me. If there is one thing I’m passionate about it’s community policing. But I’ve learned that term is
I definitely wasn’t expecting this during roll call this morning. Although accolades aren’t my motivation, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t sincerely honored to be named the 2023 day shift Officer of the Year for the North Little Rock Police Department. Oftentimes when you’ve
***Miss Emma is still with us*** during my visit today, she said nothing but as I was leaving, I said “I love you” and although it was faint, Miss Emma’s response was “I love you too.” I also noticed a single tear coming from Emma’s eye. Please continue to pray for Miss Emma.
First let me explain what led up to today. A month ago I met Bailey (purple shirt) and her parents when Bailey’s dad shared that she was afraid of police officers. My next goal was to work on gaining Bailey’s trust. Slowly but surely we’ve developed a bond. Fast forward to today
Major prayers needed for 3-month-old Dahlia from Bentonville, Arkansas! This beautiful angel is currently at
@archildrens
awaiting a heart transplant! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I was released from the hospital this morning! Now home to rest! My next stent procedure is April 1st. Thank you everyone for your thoughts & prayers! 🙏🏼💪🏼
TISSUE ALERT 🚨 Today while I visited Miss Emma, her hospice nurse was there and told me that Miss Emma wasn’t allowing anyone to touch her, and if they did, she would yell. What did I do? I put my hand on Miss Emma’s and she squeezed my fingers and didn’t let go! 🥹😭
Part of my personal blueprint to community policing includes three important steps. Front lawn, front porch and with enough trust and respect, you might just get invited inside for a meal! Step three happened today!
This is a woman who just a few years ago wouldn’t let anyone close to her. Not a hug. Not a smile. She wouldn’t even lift her head up. Look at her now! Look at her smile. Look at her confidence! Look at this butterfly we call Queen Tina! 🦋
WELCOME HOME! Just nine days ago, Preacher Man underwent his 3rd open heart surgery! Look at him now! Thank you everyone for your support and prayers! 🙏🏼💪🏼
TISSUE ALERT 🚨 A granny trying to make ends meet received one of the biggest blessings of her life today! Her reaction and the way her grandkids comforted her will have you in tears! 😭
Today I had the opportunity to meet 6-year-old Caleab from Magnolia, Arkansas who in December was diagnosed with brain cancer. Please send a prayer up for this young man and his family! Thank you!
Father’s Day isn’t the same for me anymore, but I still have a lot to be grateful for, including my grandson Chance who swooped in and stole my heart! 💜🙏🏼
What’s missing? The answer is my uniform! Remember what I've shared in the past when it comes to the blueprint for community policing.
#1
Front yard,
#2
front porch,
#3
dining room table! Once you've earned step 3 you become family, and a uniform isn’t required!
It’s with a heavy heart that I share with you the passing of 7-year-old Lena from North Little Rock who’s battled Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) for a year now. Lena is suffering no more. The family asks for your thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace sweet Lena. We love
This is Alyssa giving her testimony a few months ago at
@theharborhome
. Alyssa fought addiction & wasn’t ashamed to share her story to save others. There is no doubt that Alyssa’s sudden death is a huge blow, but her death won’t be in vain. Rest In Peace baby girl. 💔🕊
I just wanted to thank everyone for your prayers. My heart cath today revealed no blockages. The two stents I received last year are holding up well. My cardiologist
@KapilYadavMD
did say he blames my recurring chest pain on grief, stress and lack of rest. Thank you again. 🫀🙏🏼
Let me share this about Tina. Six to seven years ago, Tina wouldn’t let me near her. Her self esteem was at zero. She wouldn’t smile, she wouldn’t talk, she was beyond guarded. What Tina needed was love. She needed love over a visit to the beauty shop. It took me years to chip
PLEASE READ! I’m asking everyone to please pray for my friend Kayden, who’s currently in the hospital suffering from sickle cell. He’s in so much pain & according to his mom, he’s losing hope. 🙏🏼
Backstory on how I met Judi. On Tuesday of this week I was dispatched to a call and as I was walking back to my patrol car, I notice a little girl across the street waving and smiling SO BIG! I introduced myself and in a matter of minutes, I had a new friend named Judi. (Imagine
TISSUE ALERT 🚨 I’ve watched Dr. Sariah grow up. I’ve seen her happy. I’ve seen her sad. I’ve seen her laugh, and I’ve seen her cry. I’ve seen her sleeping in a car and even a laundromat from being homeless. I’ve seen her settle into a home only to call me a few months later
A meeting at a stop light was bigger than we could have ever imagined and resulted in a 51 year old police officer and 18 y/o king who ultimately needed each other! God please guide Cornelius in this ever changing world. 🙏🏼
***Mental health update*** Twenty one months have passed since i endured the most painful day of my life, losing my 26-year-old daughter Alyssa to fentanyl poisoning. Before that day, my experience with grief and depression were short lived. I would always bounce back. Since
Health update: 15 months after my massive heart attack, I wanted to update everyone on my health. Yesterday during my follow up with cardiologist
