The government doesn't want us owning small, practical, utilitarian, reliable, well priced vehicles.
It's actually incredibly corrupt and huge kickbacks to auto unions and democrat lobbying is a part of it.

@lporiginalg
No itโs not the auto unions legitimately how would they have a say in how big the trucks are. There are tax breaks and incentives for companies to make large suvs and pickup trucks. There needs to be an incentive structure for companies to make and sell smaller trucks
@itschip228
@lporiginalg
That's literally my point.
They "force" auto companies to make large, unaffordable vehicles because of how they structure these tax breaks (on purpose).
They WANT people to buy gigantic 80k trucks with 8% interest rates and $1000 monthly payments so they can bleed you.

@lporiginalg
A cope? A cope from what?
You can't even buy a new small truck if you wanted to anymore because it's ILLEGAL. They don't even make them in this country. And they won't let you import them, why do you think that is?
For your safety? LOL

@lporiginalg
I don't think a lot of you are understanding.
The laws put in place deliberately force the auto makers to adhere to certain guidelines.
Those guidelines then increase the price of the trucks. The automobile manufactures make more money. And more of that money goes into theโฆ
@lporiginalg
Also, just for reference. A person below me posted this pic.
This is what a utilitarian vehicle like I described actually looks like. Not any of the monstrosities we have today.

Yes, federal regulations put in place by politicians who auto companies throw huge "donations" (lobbying, which is legal bribery) in order to get what they want.
Politicians and legacy auto companies are in bed together and have been for a long time.
@TheRealSissonX
@lporiginalg
Both cars and trucks are incredibly overpriced for what they are.
Also, if you consider cars utilitarian then I'm sorry for your traumatic brain injury.
@OIIIEGA
@lporiginalg
You have a ton of car brands out there. Toyota best cars trucks all you need for a reasonable price just remember we have inflation. Things will get more expensive if government keeps printing money
