NumbersUSA provides a civil forum for Americans of all backgrounds to focus on a single issue: an immigration policy in the interest of our national community.
@realDonaldTrump
Mr. President, what about American tech workers who are being displaced by H-1B guest workers and recent college grads who can't find jobs in STEM fields? American workers are truly the best and brightest. You pledged to put American workers first. This isn't it.
BREAKING: Paul Ryan says
@realDonaldTrump
won't sign Senate-passed CR unless it has added border security provisions.
Call House Republicans and urge them to support the Meadows/Jordan amendments to fund border security and fix the loopholes.

We polled in 31 toss-up districts last week, and here's what likely midterm voters told us:
56% want to reduce legal immigration
65% want the caravans stopped before entering U.S.
63% want to end chain migration
Everyone knows the H-1B program is used to displace Americans and to drive down wages and bargaining power for workers in those occupations. When he was Fed Chair, Alan Greenspan openly testified to this fact to Congress.
Due to coronavirus, Australia closed its borders, which ultimately put a halt on immigration. Crispin Hull tells what happened as a result of this unplanned experiment: unemployment declined, per capita income increased, and the country's GDP recovered.
"A full 72% of Democrats view illegal immigration as either a 'crisis' or 'a serious problem.' Only 27% of Democrats say illegal immigration is 'not a serious problem.'"
Rep. Dan Crenshaw criticizes Republicans that don’t want to pass the Senate border deal: “If we have a bill that, on net, significantly decreases illegal immigration, and we sabotage that, that is inconsistent with what we told our voters we would do.”
This is heartbreaking. Companies use the H-1B visa program to replace Americans with cheaper foreign workers. Retweet if you agree this must be stopped!
"If you really want to talk about a deal in addition to border wall money, I would want to see something in there about requiring E-verify. You either believe in border security or you don't" -
@SenJohnKennedy
"Democratic congresswoman is sending staff to Mexico’s northern border town...to find migrants returned from El Paso, Texas, under the “remain in Mexico” policy, then coaching them to pretend they cannot speak Spanish to exploit a loophole letting them to return to the U.S."
"June 1965 Gallup poll found that 39% preferred maintaining present levels, almost as many said they should be decreased (33%), and only a few (7%) favored increased immigration."
Congress promised in 1965 immigration wouldn't increase. It quadrupled.
Man who shot at Napa County deputy had been deported three times, authorities say.
...federal immigration authorities said, they issued four detainers in Napa and Sonoma counties, but none were honored by the jails.
Sen. Cruz TORCHES Biden for ending “Remain in Mexico” Policy:
“It worked incredibly well… we saw the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years. Biden came in his first week in office, he ripped that agreement to shreds. We right now have the highest rate ever recorded.”
Sen. Grassley Introduces Mandatory E-Verify Legislation
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) has introduced companion legislation in the House of Representatives.
Mandating E-Verify for all employers is NumbersUSA's top priority in deterring
illegal immigration.
Sen. Sanders says "corporations don't care about American workers."
How will his support for importing tens of millions of foreign nationals into the U.S. help American workers? That's a Koch Brothers proposal.
Corporate media in January: The U.S. economy is so strong we have a shortage of workers in vital industries. We need more immigration.
Corporate media in April: The U.S. economy has collapsed. There is a shortage of workers in vital industries. We need more immigration.
Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) introduced the Zero Tolerance for Illegal Entry Act, H.R. on Tuesday, that would require all employers to use
#everify
and would make illegally crossing the border a felony for first-time offenders.
@realDonaldTrump
Congress said in 1990 that H-1B would only be used as temp guest worker program for truly exceptional talent. Instead law written in a way that allows employers to use it to undercut wages and replace qualified Americans.

Have Congress pass a CR and then put a bill on your desk that doesn't punish ICE and reward child traffickers.
Anyone who claims to be a *potential* sponsor of a UAC will get immunity from immigration law.
Since 1990, over one million green cards have been handed out per year. Between 1960 and 1990, annual immigration averaged less than half that number.
Immigration will account for more than 90% of U.S. population growth between now and 2060.
The House has done it's job. The Senate must pass the Secure the Border Act of 2023, S.2824.
26 Senators have already co-sponsored. If your Senator isn't on the list in the link below, call and tell them to co-sponsor the Secure the Border Act of 2023.
he percentage of Americans who say immigration is the most important issue in the country grew from 14% in June to 22% in July -- the highest percentage for an issue in the history of Gallup's "most important problem" question.
"According to a recent Pew Research report, records from The World Bank show that migrants residing in the U.S. sent a staggering $138,165,000,000 (USD) to family members in their home countries in 2016 alone."
"By automatically extending the visas and work permits of foreign temporary workers, House Democrats are showing callous disregard for the hundreds of thousands of Americans who are being laid off and need every available job possible." -- Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA
Sessions' powerful and persistent voice in representing the majority of Americans on various immigration issues was a key factor in defeating the bi-partisan amnesty and immigration expansion bills of 2006, 2007 and 2013.
Tommy Tuberville (
@TTuberville
) is running for the U.S. Senate from the Great State of Alabama. Tommy was a terrific head football coach at Auburn University. He is a REAL LEADER who will never let MAGA/KAG, or our Country, down! Tommy will protect your Second Amendment....
Immigration to the U.S. needs to be significantly reduced to help American workers. The U.S. economy should not operate to the benefit of narrow special interests at the expense of the general citizenry.
The view from D.C. is that more immigration is needed bc Americans "just can't cut it" and the economic growth caused by adding tens of millions of foreign nationals will magically enrich all the struggling Americans our elites hold in such contempt.
'Most of the people who write about poverty in America are tourists. Some are not even that. Data can tell them all they need to know without having to interact with real humans'
There are almost 15 million Americans who are unemployed or can't find full-time work. Tens of millions more on the sidelines, ignored by D.C.
@POTUS
it's time to pass the RAISE Act and cut immigration levels in order to put the American worker first.
U.S. employers hired 403,000 foreign nationals with pending asylum claims in FY2017. DHS granted them EAD work permits, which allowed them to work in the U.S., competing with American workers for lower-skilled jobs and putting downward pressure on wages.
'The same child is brought across the border with an adult multiple times to try and gain that release that family units are required under court order,' [McAleenan] said."
This is a common but very serious issue related to illegal immigration. The federal government ignores it and corporate lobbyists like Koch/Cato would solve it by allowing unlimited immigration.
The

cites U.S. Chamber and "conservative" Cato Institute to bash

Cheap labor lobby unhappy. That's a good sign for American workers.

If "reporting" is done from the U.S.-Mexico border instead of from New York, San Francisco, and D.C. the American people might get a better understanding of what is actually happening at the U.S.-Mexico border and how AG is responding to the crisis.
There is no question that H-1B program is used to displace qualified Americans and drive down wages in H-1B occupations. Tech CEOs notorious for the practice. Evidence is overwhelming. The only "studies" that report otherwise are paid for by industries profiting off use of H-1B.
It'd be a whole lot easier for ICE to track visa overstays if
@CBP
had actually implemented the biometric entry/exit system that was mandated by Congress more than a decade ago.
"...The U.S. Government passes out foreign worker visas to allow corporations to replace people like you, with people who live 6,000 miles away... This is happening on a grand scale and both parties are for it, including many Republicans in Washington."
A Recent DHS report reveals that the government granted amnesty to 53,000 illegal aliens -- 7% of all
#DACA
recipients -- with existing criminal convictions under Pres. Obama's DACA executive amnesty.
The H-1B program is NOT used to bring in "best and brightest" high-skilled guest workers. It is used to drive down wages and working conditions in U.S. Most H-1Bs are NOT more qualified than the American workers they displace.
There is no legit. argument for bringing in foreign workers with 26 million in the U.S. out of work.
@jeffsessions
has long advocated for immigration policies that put Americans first. Watch the video he made for NUSA calling for "a moratorium on employment-based immigration."
