Adults that show up to youth and HS games, practices, and training sessions smelling of weed are the lowest form of person. So many of our children don't stand a chance because of behaviors modeled at home. "Every child deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves a child"

There will NEVER be a replacement for traditional HS athletics. No new "league", academy, or facility will ever come close to replicating the rivalries, the pressures, and the passions of playing this game with a SCHOOL on your chest. Good luck to everyone playing for someone.

It's okay to let your players be kids the first weeks of school. Remember 90% of your guys just came off a LOT of ball in June / July. Family, Fun, and REST is important. The individual workouts can wait - just because you're fired up doesn't mean they are. Find a balance

Tonight we advance to the GHSA Final Four. Norcross 58 North Gwinnett 55 Not many people outside of Gwinnett understand the NHS / NG rivalry. We have so much respect for the North Gwinnett program because they compete. This game was one of the best our 2 teams have ever played

Our season ended tonight 63-60 in OT vs a well coached & competive Cherokee team. These endings are never easy & your heart breaks for your kids, but our Seniors leave NHS with a 2 year record of 52-11, a GHSA State Championship & Final Four. They set a standard for the future.

Look. I'm sorry, but moving forward, you can't have classifications like Georgia AAAAAAA where some HS regions have 5 teams & others have 7 - yet each region gets 4 playoff spots. It has to be either each region is the same size or playoffs spots are determined differently.

Norcross 58 Newton 56 We are happy to advance to the GHSA Final Four! Out team has incredible respect for all of the Newton Basketball players and coaches. Our 4 meetings over the past 2 seasons have been some of the best games in recent GA history. Much credit to the Rams.

Pray for the family of Bradley Coleman. I can't wrap my head around it. He was an incredible person, coach, and father. His character and leadership saved our season in 2011. And he did the same for everyone he met ever since. What a unreal tragedy. B-Rad you made us all better.

Our season came to an end last night to a very deserving opponent. Good luck to Grayson HS moving forward. It's never easy, but the game teaches valuable lessons in situations like these. The young men represented Norcross in commendable ways all year and we are proud of them.

It's true again this year. Predetermined brackets are the wrong way to go. There's no balance to the state playoffs. I don't know how to circumvent issues with "seeding" but having top teams cannibalize each other in 2nd/3rd round just because of geographical location is archaic.

Even though an overwhelming majority is in favor of a #GHSAShotClock , there are vocal critics that believe a shot clock would NOT improve player/team development. That's bewildering to me. If you can't see the benefits of a shot-clock then it's because you DON'T WANT to see it.

Great news from @GHSA meeting today! The official start date for basketball has been changed to Oct. 22. This is a full week earlier than the past few years. This allows teams to have more prep/practice before 1st games. Thank you Region 3 AAAAAAA for submitting the proposal!

If you are going to point something out to your team - EVERY SINGLE PLAYER catches and "sees" the floor before dribbling. UVA is elite at this - catch, square, pump-fake, see the floor, then play. One of the main reasons why UVA one of most efficient offenses in the nation.
