One of the greatest fallacies of recent times… that serious illness means inpatient care, or even dying in hospital. No. The vast majority of chronic and serious disease is managed in the community, and yes, palliated in the community.

If I could ask everyone to pause for just one minute, and put yourselves in the position of those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19, knowing the government did not put in adequate mitigations, and then read the announcement from the CMO to stop reporting COVID-19 deaths.

Did everyone catch what @mvankerkhove said on the BBC? Unlike flu, we can’t predict and prepare vaccines for coronavirus variants fast enough. They are not clearly seasonal. They spread fast once they emerge. Emergence is frequent and random. We CANT MANAGE COVID LIKE THE FLU.
