No you can't draw Sonic either. You can't interact with anything that has Sonic and co. on it. You CAN play Smash Bros. but you can't play as Sonic or on Green Hill Zone. You CAN go to a Sonic drive-in restaurant but you can't order a chili dog.

I never trust what high-profile Sonic content creators have to say about game quality. A lot of them are (or are trying to be) buddies with the Sonic marketing team. They're only going to hype up the good parts, otherwise they risk severing those connections.

Good video game music is a necessity, not a bonus. Especially for Sonic since the games are built to put you in sort of a flow state, you play much better with music that gets you pumped. Sand Sanctuary is a mid level, but it bops so hard it feels like I'm playing a good one.

This is not why people have a problem with Amy. The problem is that her moveset does nothing to mix up gameplay, which is the entire point of having separate characters in a single-player game. You can't hype up a new character only to have them be a nerfed version of another.

1st, people seem to have a problem with Amy not having a move set like in the Advance games. The classic games DO NOT play like the advance games. In Advance you had multiple buttons doing multiple moves. The classic games all play with 1 button. Same with Tails & Knuckles.

Now you also might have noticed when you bounce off a badnik in Sonic Superstars, you get your jump ability back. That's right, THEY ACCIDENTALLY FORCED YOU INTO A JUMP WHEN YOU DESTROY A BADNIK. I know this because this exact thing happened in Hysteria when I implemented it.

In Sonic Mania, if you hold jump, your bounce height is reflected off your fall speed. The faster you fall, the higher you bounce. Notice how in Superstars no matter how high you fall from, your bounce will never exceed the default max jump height.

I am just some jackass. I have no game design experience outside Sonic Hysteria. Getting your jump ability back after bouncing off a monitor/badnik was one of the first things I coded in Hysteria. And it only took me a few hours at most to realize my bounce height was borked.

What's happening is that when the player's angle is 0 (mid-air or on flat ground) the jump height has a max value. If you want jump ability refresh, all you have to do is create a new variable that activates when you bounce, and when it's active, it bypasses the max jump height.

Obviously Superstars and Orbinaut Framework are two different things so it may not be this exact thing, but it has to be something very similar. Orbinaut is made to be as accurate as possible to the classic games. This just adds up too well.
