Orgs owners and coaches, if you were to own an academy team, would you pick: - Talents that have insane potential and have gone thru a talent development center - Talents that fit well with everyone, is an all-rounder, but is mid in every regard? Looking for opinions ty!

@NethenoobVAL Why build an Academy when you can take a well-built T1 roster and then disband after they fail to qualify for Ascension?

@agarwalvishal00 For orgs that have made franchise/rich and plan to play the long term game, its good since they can nurture them to their needs Another reason: cheap asf talents since you can pay them bare minimum and promote them without paying any buyouts (if that player was desired)

@NethenoobVAL Need a mix of both to be successful. @RustunL is best example of a glue player - Doesn’t need to pop off but enables his teammates to. Not surprised they had such high success in NA ascension

@Secret_Warbirds @RustunL So a system that helps players understand how their role works and the duties that is needed of them (provided that they perform according to such) Also gotta teach them how to get to that point Am I hitting the spot?

@NethenoobVAL @NotFreezySG definitely an all-rounder, but it is an academy team, once you pull a player out, the team falls apart.

@NethenoobVAL Generally speaking what i would personally look into an Academy profile is : - Overall skill of the player (does he has the skills we need to promote him) - How does the player brand himself. A big part of the time in the academy is to build up the player's skill and brand.

@NethenoobVAL I think every team needs one or two guy that can just fit well and do it all, but the rest would be people that you deem to have higher potential then the rest. Theres a reason that every “cracked zoomer roster” in esports seems to benefit highly from having a veteran presence.

@NethenoobVAL A solid mix of the two, probably 3 of the first and then 2 of the other to round everything out and have as balanced of an environment as possible for overall development

@NethenoobVAL Mhm not sure, unless you have a cracked main roster. The point of an academy team is develop promising players who are missing that infrastructure/outside support. But both options are ideal situations when building/picking up an academy roster.

@NethenoobVAL I am neither but the no brainer would be the first option no? Whatever it takes to get them highest placements and spotted out to tier 1 would be a win win for everyone imo
