No evidence to show that more maths and English and less PE correlates to better GCSE results in maths and English. Plenty of evidence to show that PE enhances brain activity. Why not consider timetabling maths and English after a PE lesson?

Reduce trainee teachers workload. Give all a bursary so that their teacher training is all they need to focus on . This year 42% of our secondary PE trainees worked on average 13 hours per week in paid employment to help fund their training. How is this fair?

Proposed new Ofsted framework looks very good for PE. Judgements to be made against personal development. Schools advised that learners should study the full curriculum and that the full range of subjects should be taught for as long as possible, specialising only when necessary
