Size matters. Stamford Bridge pitch is v small & has been since mid-1990s. No space to run in behind or control the ball, Lukaku/Werner types struggle whereas Zola/Eidur/Joe/Robben/Eden flourish. Didier had top close skills. This has to dictate next #Chelsea transfer window

I hate it when people say Chelsea's name was written on the Cup in 2012. Bayern Munich had 17 corners, all properly defended. Then Chelsea had ONE, properly attacked. That was all skill & resolve, not fate. Chelsea deserved that trophy, but could only win it the hard way. Bliss!

You had to be there! Not shown on TV, but when Mount was waiting to take free-kick at Aston Villa, Thiago Silva behind him re-placed the 2 man #Chelsea wall from beside Villa's to in front & slightly across them blinding Martínez's view. You see #CFC wall move on TV. Leadership!

The sad truth is that since @ChelseaFC won the @ChampionsLeague in 2012, the club's won only 2 knockout ties, Galatasaray & PSG, both 2014. All the players now need to prove they're better than Europa League quality

I get the negativity around lack of #CFC punch yesterday, but let's have some reality. #Fulham were undefeated in 6, had conceded only 3 in that run, including against #LFC & #Spurs , & #Chelsea won, ended that run. It's a starting point (or 3 points!!). Still not half thru season
