The Trust held 2 minutes silence this afternoon as part of an afternoon of remembrance for colleagues, patients and family lost over the past 12 months.
We have now taken the decision to stop all visiting to our wards to protect patients, staff and the general public. Exceptions are our children’s ward and maternity unit. There are also exceptions for some carers, and relatives of patients at the end of life.

Important message: we are sorry to say that Starlight Ward, our children’s ward has closed to admissions. This is to open new ward space for the care of Covid patients. Children needing inpatient care will be transferred to the Royal London Hospital. Children’s A&E remains open.

This week’s figures from NHS Improvement showing performance for Quarter 3 (up till December) has our A&E at 7th in the country for hitting the four hour wait target (and top performer in London). We are 4th best performing in the country for 18 weeks waits. Big well done all!
